    • I do hope they print articles about how life would be like in 2050. I don’t just ‘dare’ Get Stuffed to do it, I ‘double dare’ them.

While it will take many years to laugh relentlessly at their stupidity, maybe our descendants will realise just how wicked our journalists are.

(We’ll need to archive them just in case the ‘Google’ of 2050 tries to bury such articles in an effort to protect their mates).

    • The media and politicians who keep crying “we must do something now” actually have no idea what they even mean. Every stupid article we read says the same shit, year in year out. There’s these pesky things called freedom of choice and limited Govt. I keep wondering what’s “do something”? Sabotage of petrol stations? Military coup? Shut down Huntly? Carpet bomb Auckland airport’s runways? Take away the keys to my Ford? Cull all livestock? All of the above? That’s all fantasy, just as much as “climate change” is. Now we have climate change “anxiety” ! Ba ha ha!

      • Of course humans impact climate change WG. If we have more humans, then we need more cars and planes for them to move about, and more cows to provide them with food and drink.

NZ’s climate targets are ridiculous. We currently allow immigration nearing 100,000 per annum, so any targets set when the population was – say – 4.2 million, will be completely out of whack when we reach 2035. We’ll have an extra 1.5 million NZ’ers by then, and we’ll have an extra 1/2 million cars and cows to satisfy their needs.

We are approaching climate change standing at the bottom of the ladder looking up, and the ladder just keeps getting longer !

        • What are individual Kiwis supposed to do about it if our governments continue to allow more immigration than we can sustain? In the meantime those in power are instead pissing around banning plastic bags and plastic straws. More critically govt banning our oil and gas industry when NZ doesn’t have secure replacement energy industries. All the while they hypocritically burn more aviation gas on their never ending government tripping around the globe. Apart from recycling and limiting our own personal footprint there is not much individuals can do is there.

          • Exactly WG. Doesn’t matter what we do it will never be enough until we decide to shut the gates. We will never reach our greenhouse emissions target, because the goalposts are being moved every week !

  1. Taking ‘evil’ guns from good people will make NZ safer – police

Police are hitting back at claims the gun buyback won’t make New Zealand safer, since bad guys won’t be the ones handing over their weapons.

The first weekend of the buyback scheme went by without a hitch, firearms owners in Christchurch handing in more than 500 now-illegal weapons, and receiving more than $1 million in compensation.

“We’ve put an awful lot of effort into getting ready for the weekend and that worked very well,” Deputy Police Commissioner Mike Clement told The AM Show on Monday.

    https://www.msn.com/en-nz/news/national/taking-evil-guns-from-good-people-will-make-nz-safer-police/ar-AAEk5ju?ocid=ob-fb-ennz-313&fbclid=IwAR1pDyHIMysWfyZ-1O3zAHyfCTbIE7wAEld9W-8Qd6a0lAHOZnCrzE5jtRI

Apparently, all these guns are “evil” now.

    • I am curious as to why you got the downticks without a counter argument. Judith Collins didn’t say that, but she did agree with Duncan Garner when he led her by suggesting she tell them to “bugger off”.

“Oh yes, I think so,” she agreed. “We have people with immense commercial reasons to encourage this sort of trade… We will support the Government to get what they need to get done.”

  2. If Maori press their Orangatang Tamareky claims any further its really going to test Ardern.
is she for or against child poverdy and abuse?
Is she happy that our tax money goes to pay for these ferals to buy booze and drugs and beat their children, and not educate them?

      • I also have no sympathy. While driving to Tauranga one day I did wonder about the heated atmosphere in the gang car while they transported a dead body for nearly 2 hours from Ngaruawahia to McLaren Falls high in the Kaimai ranges. I imagine they were not thinking with cool heads after killing the guy by mistake. The chaos in these peoples lives must be very stressful.

  3. Go for it! I’m glad they don’t push that crap on my kids at their little school. They do stuff like recycling, minimise rubbish etc which of course is a good idea, but nothing to do with the sky falling.

  4. Winston Peters is heading for the might USA to talk trade Secretary of State, Michael Pompeo.

“He is scheduled to deliver a speech in Washington which will focus on the importance of the two countries’ bilateral relationship. It would also be an opportunity to “further strengthen trade and economic co-operation between New Zealand and the United States,” he said.

Peters will not this time be meeting with Mike Pence.

  5. Add New Zealand to the list:

Poor Britain, poor Germany; led by crazy women.
    https://russia-insider.com/

It is hard to overstate what a disaster Merkel has been for Germany. She has done to Germany what Hillary would have done to the US had she been elected. Hopefully she will be gone soon. It is interesting that Russian TV thinks this is a very important story whereas in the US it does not merit coverage…

Health records are an absolutely confidential thing for Germans. However, this case is extraordinary. And Merkel has to convince Germans that she can do her job. However, this doesn’t rule out that the attacks can recur when three factors are present: a foreign guest, the honor guard, and the national anthem.

  6. Stuff and the Herald are determined to make us look like assholes.

Take all the goodwill earned by the blackcaps and turn it into “we were robbed” “we should have won”

The only small point I will make is coming from a marketing point of view.

If we had shared the world cup, there would be a lot of interest in – the joint world cup winners go head to head in a best of 7 games or whatever.

    Outside of that, shit happens.

I feel for the blackcaps who arent on Kane money. that extra 200k would have been nice

    • So, because he didn’t like seeing ‘partner’ giving birth, his reaction is make the male pill compulsory? What an arsehole.

The male pill has merit but it seems the authoritarians amongst us seem to view it as another way to control men. (I’ve seen plenty of feminists cackle over this area so he’s not unique).

If this pill also dulled the libido, it might be more successful: one of the feminists’ best weapons against desperate males would be gone.

  9. Good news the “government” seems to have backed down to the Farmers re their emission program.
    95% discount!
    Why bother!
It looks like they’ve realised they cant keep bashing the farmers and still have some exports, jobs and tax revenue.
    The Greens will be apoplectic!

      • The Prophet, peace be upon Him, had that sorted 1300 years ago:

……”You can keep yourself neat and tidy by following the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad PBUH, which is to remove pubic hairs, cut your nails and pluck your armpit hair regularly. It is prohibited to let the hair and nails grow for more than 40 nights as it is said to resemble animals. “…….

        BUT

……”Prophet Muhammad PBUH has “cursed” women who pluck their eyebrow hairs. Nevertheless, most Islamic scholars have mentioned that it is permissible for a woman to remove excess hair from other parts of her face, such as the upper lip area and chin area”……

  10. At least a few of the self-centred, brain dead old retirees in our area have had a good week. The news that log prices have crashed is not good in Northland where unemployment is high & opportunities a tad thin on the ground.

I’ve had an ear-bashing today from a couple who are incontinence pad soaking rapt that there’ll be fewer ‘big’ logging trucks on the local roads.

  11. Email received from Simon Bridges:

    Dear —

This Labour Government is planning to hit Kiwis with yet another tax – this time on your car.

Labour’s car tax is slapping thousands of dollars in tax on some of New Zealand’s most popular cars. That’s going to hit hard-working Kiwi families who can least afford it.

And it comes at a time when families are already struggling with soaring costs of living under this Government.

This latest tax grab adds to the raft of other taxes this Government has already piled on hard-working Kiwi families and businesses. And all this after Labour promised no new taxes in its first term.

National supports greening the vehicle fleet through incentives, not penalties. Our polices saw the number of electric vehicles on our roads increase hugely.

Labour is all about tax, borrow and spend. And when they start running out of money, they come after yours.

They just can’t manage money and have no plan to grow the economy. What’s more Labour is failing to deliver on its promises.

Next year is election year. Will you donate today to help us fight back? $50 could help us reach around 7500 Kiwis on social media.

    • No thanks. You lazy slobs couldn’t be bothered feathering the socialists when they came for our guns, nor did you bother to defend our right to free speech.
When you earn the right to my money I will p[lace you at no 2 on my list.

Try looking up to a real leader.

      His name is David Seymour.
He is not a God botherer like you lazy sods.

      God defend our Freeland.
That was the words before you rolled over to the Maori and changed all the good stuff we had.

      • Nah! Next time round National will likely abolish all grounds for abortion, reintroduce a version of the Magdalene Laundries & possession of marijuana will be back to twenty years inside. Alcoholism will be subsidised other than on the Sabbath & it will be a civic duty to die screaming because all that sissy, habit-forming morphine will be very, very illegal & may make Baby Jesus cry.

Birth control will be made a criminal offence, gays will be hung from lampposts & a Xtian version of the Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice will become a Government Dept. No steak on Friday while Confession will be compulsory & videoed by the GCSB.

Think I’m exaggerating? You silly boy! 🙂

    • I have replied to the same e mail that when I see some evidence that National is a proper opposition party, and I have suggested that they can start by opposing any further changes to our firearms laws targetted at law abiding gun owners rather than at criminal gangs and other miscreants, then I might consider them again but for now I have joined ACT and am preparing to work hard to ensure they do as well as possible at the next election.

  12. So the Muslims have won.

Businesses around the Linwood Mosque in Christchurch are closing their doors as they struggle in the aftermath of the March 15 massacre.

They claim to have lost thousands of dollars since they were cordoned off in the terror attack but are being told they’re not eligible for any financial support.

They told Newshub the Government has completely forgotten about them.

On March 15 with seven people killed at the mosque a cordon went up around the area and kept surrounding shops shut for 10 days. The businesses took an instant hit.

And while the cordon is now down, business owners say they’ve never recovered. While they’re lucky they didn’t lose their lives they are frustrated that now they’re losing their livelihoods.

In documents obtained by Newshub the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment says the 12 businesses in close proximity to Linwood Mosque do not need emergency business support, writing that no employees have been laid off and business has returned to normal.

We need to know which dopey arsehole from Mobie wrote that crap. symptomatic of Mobie.

  13. It used to be called “reefer madness”, dredged up as a cause. 🙂

France: Judge rules Jewish woman’s killer not criminally liable
Judge rules that Muslim man who killed Sarah Halimi is probably not criminally responsible because he smoked marijuana beforehand.
    http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/266023

Now there is another word to damm the general public and that cause is kept hidden.
A tolerant society fawning over another ‘reason’.
The new victim easily slips into place, and so its history is stamped and approved.
So what price will be paid?
    to keep the truth hidden?
    a religion hidden?
    just what is sacrificed?
