  9. So the Stick Insect’s Government want to ban 14 year old’s from being able to buy ciggies. And this will progress as each year goes on. (But stupid me thought you could not purchase ciggies by law under the age of 18 anyway).

    I am not sure how this is going to work as, this once 14 year old progresses towards middle age and becomes, say 56 years old, that person, will still not be able to buy fags. But a 57 year old will be able to buy cancer sticks.

    So how is an 18 year old shop assistant going to handle that, 2 mates wandering into a Government approved fag retailer wishing to purchase 20 of the States best approved ciggies and the 18 year old shop worker (of diverse gender of course) asking for proof of age and then having to tell the 56 year old, no sorry, no fags for you but your mate who maybe, say 7 days older, has just turned 57 and has just taken up smoking can have his Government approved ciggies.
    “And, ohh, by the way, do you wish to purchase some vaping items as there are no restrictions on those and we are running a special on various vaping products this week”.

    Fuck, this Government is a bunch of Muppets. No doubt Chief Constable Plod, the woke Coster will appoint IWI and Community Patrollers to police the fag smokers of this world too.

The only ways I can see the cigarette sales thing working is specialist government owned shops ,the irony is government employees don’t actually like contact with the public , so it will have to be more of a hole in the wall with facial recognition and a dispensing machine. The other option is they will be prescribed by a doctor and dispensed at a pharmacy .

    Uncle google refuses to help disclose such information. 3.9mil have been single vaxxed and 3.7 double vaxxed so with the exception of several thousand oldies in care you would expect the vax passport uptake to be a close match. Last stats i seen there was over half a mil discrepancy

    The Government went further than official advice to keep COVID-19 vaccine passes “narrow in scope” and only apply to high-risk events, documents show.

    In a briefing paper dated September 17 to Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and COVID-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins, officials provided three options for the domestic use of vaccine certificates.

    The first option, A, was the wide application of vaccination certificates, which “could be for customers and/or workers of bars, restaurants, cafes and other venues/events”.

    The second option, B, was the targeted application of vaccine passes for high-risk events and venues, such as “large gatherings/events held outdoors and indoors, particularly during the summer season”.

    The third option, C, was no government requirement for vaccine passes, and to instead the private sector determine use in relation to access their premises. It’s noted the Government could play a role in providing verification.

    “Officials initially consider that the targeted application of vaccine certificates to high-risk events and venues (Option B) provides the best balance of risk mitigation, public acceptability and feasibility to implement as a priority step,” the document says.

When you have a trailer on and are travelling through towns you think twice about stopping for a pie and coffee in case you waste time getting to the counter of a small shop and find they want a clotshot certificate .       • I was hoping some smart person could make an app that could show next coffee stop for people travelling that don’t have or don’t want to produce a passport. My wife just got home from town and said it was funny watching our 12 year old loitering around outside cafe while 11 year old went inside and got them milkshakes. It reminded me of being a 16 year old hanging outside a little bottle shop on the highway in south canterbury waiting for someone old enough to come by so we could get them to buy us beer .

It is Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings grandsons (Thomas Gabriel & Whey Jennings) singing “Highwayman”. As you well know Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Chris Kristofferson and Willie Nelson performed as the Highwaymen during the 10 years between 1985 and 1995.

    There are remnants of their grandfathers voices in this, I hope you enjoy it as it was only released on 25th November. In my opinion, it is not a bad effort.

    • Not a bad effort indeed but to this jaundiced critic the grandparents did it better. Kris Kristofferson was IMHO better as a song writer & actor than a singer. The Highwaymen gave meaning to the old saying that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

      The standouts though were Johnny Cash whose music I always loved & the talented Willie Nelson who paid a price for his candid support of marijuana. From his Wiki page “After suffering from pneumonia several times, he decided to quit either marijuana or tobacco. He chose to quit tobacco.”

    When I picked up my mate the vet came outside and said have you been banished and I said yeah.

    A motorbike rider has been arrested after allegedly setting a teenage driver alight in a road-rage attack in Melbourne’s outer north.

    He suffered serious burns and was taken to hospital, where he remains being treated.

    • I usually never do the xmas thing for work, last year was the first time ever because i actually now have a job i enjoy and the people i work with are algood.
      My theory was i couldnt stand the fuckwits i worked with all day at work so why the hell would i want to spend time with them out of work… plus i wasnt much of a drinker id prefer a bong or joint in which most employers would frown upon lol
