Ed, purely for curiosity – why didn’t you bring the polls to ysb rather than creating a separate site for them?

Sorry mate but hysp looks like exactly what it is; political activism poorly disguised as a “polling site”.
While I wholeheartedly agree with the thrust of the message etc, I honestly can’t see the average punter falling for this and I especially can’t imagine them registering for opportunity to ‘vote’ there.
You’d be better pushing ysb in my opinion. This site provides the opportunity to discuss issues and the contributors here are all intelligent individuals who actually respect each other and constantly bring new viewpoints to the discussion.

Even though
almostprobably everybody who comments here is right wing or conservative to a degree, I don’t think this is just an ‘echo chamber’. The contributors here all respect each other and often come at a subject with their own unique take on it. Follow-up comments tend to be real comments on content rather than simply gratuitous insults.This is a great blog. It has a real ‘community’ feel to it (to use rather an over-hyped term) and the last thing it needs is idiots shitting all over it.
I am 18 months clean. That was the last time I logged into facebook and I dont intend on backsliding sorry Ed. The only Facebook product I use is WhatsApp which I started using before FB purchased it and its good for contacting my friends in Australia.
