Al-Jazeera reporter Saif Khalid declared on Twitter that reporting the facts about the Easter terror attacks in Sri Lanka is “Islamophobic.”

As the world watched for more information about who could have committed such a heinous and atrocious act, Khalid scolded an Indian newspaper for reporting the name of one of the suspects and details about a previous plot to bomb Indian High Commission in Colombo that intelligence sources believe he may have been involved in.

Khalid tweeted that the standard reporting was an example of “Indian media’s blatant Islamophobia at display.”

Al-Jazeera is owned by the Qatari government.

Eight people have been arrested so far for the attacks. The suspects have been described as “religious extremists” by Sri Lanka’s Defense Minister Ruwan Wijewardene.

  1. Not every muslim is a terrorist, they tell us.
But there seems to be a bloody lot of terrorists from that religon.

      • The ideology uses culture, uses racism, uses religiosity, in a pervasive mix into the media, academia, and judiciary systems.

So people are blinded to what the ideology is about, and consider it is all benign.

    • It wasn’t any of us. It was some shit for brains Aussie with warped ideas who was able to get a legitimate NZ firearms license and firearms to kill with from an online application. Unintended consequences once again, this time lethal.

      • Aided and abetted by Cindy and her mob of idiots who removed the need of new applicants for firearms licences NOT having to be vetted by the police in person. Some things are not all suited for online applications.

        • Nothing beats looking someone in the actual eye. The massacre may have been avoided if proper police checks had been carried out.

        • Cindy should be hauled over the coals for this.

Another one of her stupid Captains calls.

I wish she would grow up.

  2. Sri Lanka was one a the few countries to put down an armed rebellion (the Tamils) by force of arms.
Their new President told the army to get stuck in and finish the job.
    And they did.
They did not listen to the interfering UN!

  3. Sri Lanka is apparently made up of 70% Buddhists, 10% Hindu, 10% islam and 10% Christian.
I wonder which crowd is the perpetrator? Not too hard is it?

    • Interesting as Fouad Belkacem declares some of the goals of living in Belgium, and so becomes more mellow and assured.

Belkacem is not the first Belgian linked to terror to lose his nationality. Malika el-Aroud was stripped of her citizenship last year for leading an al-Qaeda linked group.

He can still appeal against the decision to Belgium’s court of last resort, the court of cassation, or to the European Court of Justice.

His lawyer, Liliane Verjauw, said he no longer had any connection to Morocco and considered himself Belgian.

“His family has been here for 50 years, over three generations. His Belgian nationality is part of his identity,” she said. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-45951138

Doubt very much that can get this “sharia4belgium” leader out of Belgian as “The guerrilla (jihadi) must move amongst the people as a fish swims in the sea”:- Mao Zedong per brainy quotes .

It is the same difficulty in Sri Lanka, to know what and who is the problem, then what can one do?

Knowledge of the koran, Mecca and Medina verses, understanding abrogation, then hadith, sunnah, with the doctrines of hijrah, al walaa al baraa, supported by the scripture.
To be fully discussed and debated, for all to see and understand this ideology.

  4. ndtv (Indian) is currently reporting 290 deaths and around 500 wounded, with all the 24 arrested being ‘people from the Muslim community’.

Words fail me. Those poor people. 290 of them!
