Multiple and persistent’ attempts to access Treasury systems – chief executive

Liarbour are spinning this faster than the revolving door in Cindy’s office. To say there has been attempts to hack Treasury, does not mean that’s where Simon got the budget information from.

I will bet my bottom dollar that it’s come from a insider who is pissed off at the COL. You can take your pick about where that person is hiding.

Watch this space as Simon eventually reveals that the leak wasn’t the result of any hacker.

Update

Mark Mitchell talking to Mike Hosking on newstalkZB, confirms there was no hack of Treasury to get this information. It was from a leak in the COL or the govt Staff.

  1. Theories and speculation are swirling as to how the budget was smuggled to the National party. Simon Bridges has tweeted that when it is revealed how National received the budget it will prove to be due to incompetence and Grant Robertson should resign.
    Bring on the popcorn! ? ? ?

  2. According to Simon yesterday, National have had this info since December. If it came from a hacker, why wasn’t the hacking noticed at the time? To say there have been 2000 attempted hacks in the past 48 hours is just another red herring and more liarbour spin.

  3. Probably as simple as someone with copies of the budget details simply lost a copy which was handed onto National.

Murphy’s law: if something can go wrong, it will.

Simon will time his reveal of where the copy of the budget came from once Grant has directed smears of underhand and illegal activity at National.

  4. Nothing to do with pages being posted on Treasury’s website that were removed as soon as they found out National had seen them.

It must have been Hagar’s mate.

  5. Obviously Cindy has upset someone as the hack appears to be a very recent persistent attempt. Overseas hackers ?

The information that was leaked to National could be from a pissed off member of the COL. The same source as the recent drug reform leak.

What a cluster Fuk. That what you get when children play grown ups.

Notice that after telling us that the Budget papers were not leaked the hobit has gone to ground. Perhaps he is being measured up for his mine rescue gear.

  6. Geez, let me see…

National allegedly are in possession of information hacked from Treasury’s website, then AFTER they wave the information about, they try to hack Treasury’s website two thousand times.

    Balderdash

  7. Simon Bridges lashes out at Grant Robertson saying he is lying

“What annoys me here is that it should be Grant Robertson here right now, explaining and fronting up. He is misleading New Zealanders, in fact, I would go as far as saying he is lying,” Bridges said at a fiery press conference on Wednesday morning.
“He is smearing the National Party falsely with what he is doing and he is overseeing gross incompetence in Treasury right now and over the last 24 hours. That starts at the top with him.”

    • Keep up the pressure Simon, that is what the country needs and wants from you. Let alone your party members.

      • Exactly Rachel if he thinks his nice guy Labour lite image is going to win over the Nat faithful or garner votes hes dreaming sink the boot loud & often (and suffer the repercussions) it’s the only way he is going to get any traction and its not as if this pathetic mob doesnt give him ammunition on a daily basis, of course he is up against a partisan media as well but tough luck those wankers only want sensationalist headlines so he should damn well give it to them

    • I was impressed with Mr Bridges this morning, he came across as forceful, articulate and honest.
He held Mr Robertson’s feet to the flames and kept them there.
      More of this please.

      • Bet Grant didn’t front the news interview to refute what Simon accused him of.
        Now, where’s that popcorn gone?

  8. Another embarrassment for the Col! I can’t wait to see the next election results. Methinks they will fall to pieces before then 🙂

      • Trevor’s MIA. I see Audrey Young says that Simon should offer to assist the police with their inquiries, Did she suggest that to the COL when Simon was being balked by the speaker in his inquiry? Quite funny that they were both two days before official release date.

Simon is quite right, how come the story is about him and his supposed shortcomings and not on the actual clusterfuck? Rhetorical question.

        • Since when do you get a choice to “assist plod with their inquiries’? They either ask you or they don’t. If Plod came to my door to ask about YSB, could I decline to talk to them?

  9. I don’t believe the Nats would be stupid enough to “hack” the information as once found out the government would have a field day and I don’t think Simon would be prepared to do this, for in effect, very little gain. I listened to the Treasury guy answering Hoskin’s questions and I got the impression he was not too clued up on cyber security or hacking. However, leaked information is not “illegal” and shows incompetence and dissatisfaction. And that is very embarrassing for Robbo, Silly little Cindy and the Ugly Dwarf.

    • The treasury boss has been somewhat hopeless and is on his bike back to England so really he doesn’t give a shit. Does that offer a clue?

      • Makgoof is actually going to the ROI (Republic of idiots) to help Darth Varadker get to grips with ROI debt of 800% + of GDP and thats not counting unfunded liabilities, Varadker obviously took lessons from Mugabe and Chavez on how to screw up your country albeit Varadker has not be the best student as he has failed to create hyper inflation but give him time and help.

  10. Imagine the shit and abuse flying around cindys office at the moment! ” Who fucking leaked it!? ” “I want heads to roll!” The poor wee thing will be melting down, big time.
I hear she has a nasty nasty temper and is hard to work with. Oh dear, what a shame.

  11. According to a new headline the harridan has admitted it couldn’t lead shit and is passing all blame and responsibility onto the minions.

Did people, seriously, vote for this thing?

    If so, for what purpose?

  12. That Treasury head is a porkie promoter.
He looks to have had a 90 second briefing on IT systems and is trying to parlay this into a 7 minute interview.
    He falls woefully short.
He is clinging onto ‘2000 attempted entries’ .
No context of genuine timeframe. A real hack would have much more. This could actually be B.A.U. for attempted entries but again no context.
A Bollocks response straight out of “Yes Minister” for a geezer who finishes at Treasury in the next week and leaves NZ.

Bollocks boy has got nothing on lyin’ Jacinduh.
He sure can’t spin it like the Mt Albert Mum from Murupara by way of Morrisville.

Look at him here -7 minutes long- and an arrogant pommy twat who is back to the antipodes next month.
    https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2019/05/multiple-and-persistent-attempts-to-access-treasury-systems-chief-executive.html
Did he speak the truth even once ?
He is off to be Gov of the Central Bank of Ireland in a few weeks.
    Good luck to them!

This slippery geezer reminds me of Lukas Paravicini a few years ago (as CFO at Fonterra) on Paul Henry when he was lying like a flat fish about payment to suppliers.
Perhaps in their home countries they are not held to account by the great unwashed.
Well stay there then and don’t dirty our shores.

Truth under this COL Govt is starting to look like Unobtanium from Avatar.
Can we send them all to Pandora to look for it?
