National Socialist Party

Yesterday I made a tongue in cheek comment that the National Party and the Labour party are so much alike, that they should join up as the one party. On reflection, I have decided this is the way to go.

Labour are chasing the middle voters as are the Nats. The greens are far left of Labour, and ACT is to the right of National.

We can see a clear choice for the voters. The communists, the old and bewildered, and those wanting free stuff from the taxpayer, can vote for the Greens. The voters who believe in freedom of expression and the individuals right to get on and just do stuff without Government intervention, can vote for ACT. All the rest who are incapable of making a rational decision one way or the other, can vote for the National Socialists.

This way, the balance of power at any election would swing between Act and the Greens.

  1. Or National could instead stand up to the principles of the National party and put a stake in the political ground where National voters want them to be. Stop trying to please everyone National, you are just becoming insipid lefties.

    • They would have to find then again. Not sure they would know where to look or have the intellectual capacity to understand them.

  2. Could it work if the parties tried to get elected to a role – e.g. environment, education, treasury, etc. That way each could play to their strengths and would need to negotiate with all other parties.

      • I had Act, National and NZ First within 4 of each other in the 70’s iirc. Some were in the 90’s for Act.

        • A few of us went to a forum that he had at the Te Rapa Tavern the other week, he did speak well, but for myself, he didn’t see a problem with Islam for another 100 years, why make a problem for our great grand-children?

          • As always Rachael. You put your finger on the issue.

This has always been my big concern about Seymour. If our politician’s aren’t taking steps to safeguard the future of our democracy what are they worth.

The reason Trump is so awesome is he isn’t prepared to kick the can down the road on immigration (although he’s being thwarted by the swamp every step of the way).

As I’ve said before, anyone supporting refugee intake increases had better prepare their apologies to their grandkids for fucking up the best place to live on Earth.

          • Yes, Islamic immigration was and remains my sticking point with ACT. There is where I wish Seymour was more pragmatic and realise that if we keeping importing people opposed to Classical Liberalism, we aren’t going to keep any form of Classical Liberalism (e.g. freedom of speech).

    • Very interesting.
      NZ First 79%
      ACT 61%
      National. 60%
      Communist. 43%
      Eco Loon 41%

Last election I gave my party vote to NZ First but feel so let down by them going with Labour I will never vote for them again. ACT will get my party vote next time (I always voted ACT when Rodney Hide and Muriel Newman were in the party). National is unlikely to be deposed in Kaikoura, you could put a blue rosette on a pig and it would win. It is very disappointing that National is not a proper opposition party offering a real alternative to the communists, ooops sorry I mean Labour under Comrade Adern.

Adopting MMP was surely the worst political mistake this country has made, if only we had gone with STV.

      • Several of us from KB were adamant before the last election that it would be politically unwise, nay nuts, to vote for Winston. The man simply cannot be trusted. Those who voted for Peters believing he “would keep National honest” were blinded by the slippery political conman that he is. No doubt, some will be taken in again in 2020 with more of Peters political rhetoric and self-aggrandising stories of him being their saviour.

  3. There comes a time in everyone’s life when they have an epiphany and realize that they have been doing things all wrong. Your time is nigh.

  4. Are you aware or care that since you joined here and have found it okay, ( I assume) that Fairydust hasn’t noticeably commented? That’s a shame.

Were they disappointed? I always felt that anyone Fairydust co-opted would run screaming from the room and I assume that Fairydust would have thought the same.

  5. I’m surrounded by lefties on this blog.
    Jeez.
I scored 90% for ACT and 23% for Gweens.

It is somewhat academic to align with NZ First as they are too shifty when it comes down to it and whatever
    Layabout policy is they a) make up shit on the fly like oil and gas ban;
and b) actual policy they are not even able to implement like environment or Kiwibuild.

It showed 76% for the Gnats and what made me laugh is it still has Bill English face as party leader. They don ‘t even recognise Soyman.

It tells me I only answered 40% of questions.

    • Perhaps you didn’t select the option at the end, I assume they will update it, there were a few irrelevant things, interesting all the same.
