Nobel Prize for Trump?

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan praised President Donald Trump for his desire to end the conflict in Afghanistan during a speech at the U.S. Institute of Peace on Tuesday.

The speech comes one day after Khan visited the White House.

During the event, Khan said “thank God for President Trump,” because without him, the conflict could have gone on for another 19 years.

“Nineteen years of conflict. Thank God for President Trump, I mean, this could have gone on for another 19 years,” Khan said

“We believe that we should not ever interfere in the internal affairs of Afghanistan,” Khan added, stating that Pakistan would “facilitate the peace process.”

“Fortunately now, the United States is on the same page too,” he said.

Khan said that he will “meet the Taliban” and will “try my best” to get them to talk to the Afghan government. He explained that a delegation from the Taliban wanted to meet with him a few months ago, but the Afghan government opposed and prevented it.

The US and the Taliban have been getting close to reaching a deal in which we will withdraw troops if they agree to promise not to allow the nation to become a base for terrorism.

On Monday, Trump told reporters that he could easily wipe out Afghanistan, but that he does not want to kill that many people.

“We’re like policemen. We’re not fighting a war. If we wanted to fight a war in Afghanistan and win it, I could win it in a week. I just don’t want to kill 10 million people. Does that make sense to you? I don’t want to kill 10 million people,” Trump said.

Yet another reason for Trump to get the Peace Prize and Obama to give his falsely awarded one back. You can forget about Cindy getting one.

  1. Wait a minute. You mean the PM of a chaotic, terrorist producing, nuclear armed shit hole like Pakistan gets an invite to visit the White House? Whereas Jacinda…… hahahahahahahahahahaha

      • Most Muslims refer to Allah as “God” in passing reference so I don’t consider this a break in the norm. The question worth asking is does this signify a shift in Pakistani foreign policy under Khan? He is far more Westernised than most of his predecessors.

  2. Much as I like Donald Trump and Imran Khan….
As soon as the US and Nato pull out of Afghanistan the Taliban will be back again and will take over in about 3 weeks.
Then we will have the old regime back killing people in stadiums and closing schools.
And the world will go “Oh no, what can we do, the Taliban are terrible”

  3. President Trump will ever ‘win’ a Nobel Peace prize despite his incredible mollifying of one of the most dangerous states on the planet – North Korea and it’s totalitarian regime master Kim Jong un. President Trump has stopped or at least delayed attempts by Kim to succeed in becoming the leader of a nuclear state. He is the first sitting President of the USA to stand on NK soil.

“History Made: Trump Becomes First US Sitting President To Step Into North Korea. President Trump made history on Sunday by crossing into North Korea as part of a meeting with Kim Jong Un in which he and the North Korean leader agreed to restart stalled nuclear talks.”
