Mrs Holy and I have joined the group of travellers who piss off the rest of you. We have bought our first camper van. I have wanted one for a while now. So bit the bullet and got one. With low interest rates the money wasn’t earning stuff all in the bank, so thought we might get out and enjoy ourselves.

Before we had even bought it, people were saying how they would like to borrow it when we are not using it. That was solved by our insurance broker saying to insure it with only us being named drivers. That way no one else can drive it and still be insured.
Looking forward to our first outing. Might be a trip to Waihi Beach.
Buying this was the easy part. Now we have to go and fit it out. BBQ, chairs, table, kitchen utensils, bedding, cleaning stuff, cooking stuff and of course wine and beer. All the good things in life.
Nice. Don’t forget you need a dammed good wifi to keep us in line.
OK redbaiter!
Yes I got that sorted as my main priority. Cannot trust any one these days.
Tell Mrs Holy to put her feet up with a glass of vino while you sort the pipi fritters on the BBQ. ?
I will not tell you the words that pass Hubby’s lips as we encounter these
road licevehicles in the Waioeka Gorge or on the Whareratas.Safe driving….
That one looks road legal at 100km.
180 hp, goes like stink, you won’t see me holding up the traffic
I have a 130hp Ducato that travels at 100km no sweat at all, and the missus drives it as well. You will leave us in the dust!
180hp? Goes like stink? Ed, I love you man, but my bike makes roughly 160hp and only weighs in around 300kg! Of course, it doesn’t have a dining table, shower, bed and crapper. So … fair enough I suppose 🙂
I see they’ve cranked the 2019 model up to 2500cc though; sorely tempted on a trade-in now.
I’ve just sent Julie Anne a text about your bad thoughts 🙂
Expect a knock on the door at 10.30 at night.
Nothing a bit of re-education cant knock out of you, Komrade.
How polite.. we refer to them as road maggots in our vehicle haha. Never seem to have any issue with privately owned ones though, it’s always those rental jobbies unconfidently dawdling up and down the highways refusing to pullover no matter the queue in the rear view…. Sigh blood pressure rising
Next you will be buying a unit in a retirement village.
I might have to join that Over 55’s forum.
Nah I live next door to one. When the time comes, I will just cut a hole in the fence and walk through to the village. All sorted.
Well done sir. Congratulations!
Oih, were’s your MAGA hat?
Yes I was wondering the same thing. In exchange for free advertising on ysb, the hat man promised me a free one. Still waiting……………….
Fantastic, enjoy.
I bought one two years ago, the best tine I ever did. You will meet some great people, all pale, stale male and their wives. The ones I have meet loathe Jacinda, loath Winston, loathe the greens, and loathe the climate change hoax.
Sorry, the best “thing” I ever did
That looks awesome, congrats Holy.
Nice one holy – what breed is it?

Noice!
Now when you are staying in that, remember to inform WINZ that there are two more people living in a vehicle.
I hope that when we go away we don’t come home to a house full of squatters.
