Today is NZ parole day. As we have been good liddle kiwis, we will be allowed to go shopping, go to the movies, bury the dead, travel around our place and a lot of other things.

But be aware, if we do not behave, be sensible, observe social distancing, and be kind to one another, then we can expect the bony finger, frowny face, the bobbing head and the daily lecture from the Cindy and Ashley show to be up again in earnest. Once this happens it will be back to prison for another unspecified period, to be decided solely by our supreme dear leader.

  1. Woohoo! It’s either going to be mayhem with everyone hitting the shops all at once or people need a little while to come out of their houses to blink in the sunshine. Remember some will take a while to remember the road rules so take your patience with you when you venture out.

    • It was atrocious out there. We had to go help a friend regather her relationship property after her mongrel of a partner kicked her out and screwed her out of her share. Fortunately solicitor managed, but the roads are farking busy. I used to be able to wind the Rocket up on the open roads during lockdown but now? It’s chocker out there.

  2. And remember what your Prime Minister allows you to have today can be taken away from you tomorrow if you don’t do as you are told.

  3. It was interesting to see the Marxist regime taking some notice of the widespread public opinion and backing down a bit on their draconian Covid-19 legislation yesterday.

But, let’s not lose sight of the fact that now they are legally empowered to close down the country at will in three month blocks without the pesky need to declare a State of Emergency every seven days.

Watch out for an increased clamp down in three weeks’ time when the virus inevitably starts to fight back. My bet is that infections will ‘increase’ (i.e. the seasonal flu figures will be massaged) and hey presto, Frowny Face will escalate to 3 or 3.5 with a wag of her bony finger.

We will probably never get out of this police state…. at least not for some years. Welcome to the ‘new normal’.

    • One suspects The Mad Queen will wait to see the polling pre-Election.
If the polls are bad for Labour- Hey presto! Level 4 and no Election for a year or two….
*This is why she wanted lockdown to continue indefinitely..She freaking loves the power of being our Queen (and the $600k salary ain’t bad either comrade!)

      • Re polling. I am hoping for a repeat of the Clinton and Brexit type polling. It all looks great and then the ordinary people put the hammer down.

        • If anyone who sounds like a pollster asks who one will vote for in September, is the answer to be given as ” Labour! Yeah baby, all the way”?
