Those are flexible numbers of visits (can be multiple ) and the unvaccinated are not removed from the equation . Whichever way you look at the dramatic increase in presentations, its not good !

I agree that there is almost certainly more than one reason behind this increase – why did 2019 increase substantially over 2018 for a start? Population increase would play a part – but possibly not to that extent?
Also agree that there is a tendency to jump at everything as being vax-related; which isn’t entirely unreasonable given the plethora of problems linked to it.
Regardless – it points to either a breakdown in primary care that might have averted an A&E visit, an increased willingness to present for chest pain, vax issues, some combo thereof, or something else, again, and should be investigated.
I do not see anything about ED coping or not. It is just about numbers potentially going to ED.
