The EU’s latest impending ban has vegans going totally nuts – now Brussels is prohibiting the use of words like “burger”, “sausage” and “steak” for vegan and vegetarian products. Popular meat-free alternatives face bean renamed as “veggie discs” or “quorn tubes”. This is no fa-laugh-eling matter…
The Vegan Society are not at all quin(-oa) on the proposals, they’ve kale-d on the EU to re-think the ban and say the measures are “not in the public interest”, quorning that they would cause “widespread administrative chaos, confusion and time wasting”. Says a lot that the EU have even managed to soy-l their reputation amongst natural Remainers…
The hummu-less French MEP behind the ban says it’s simply “common sense”. His wacky plan shows a tofu-l lack of it…
For once, I am in agreement with the EU and the French MEP. It is about time the vegetarians and vegans were told that the promotion of their products was false advertising and they should rebrand/name all products where they use the name of a meat product.
Other than it being a waste of time and money for the European Parliament to consider this issue, I couldn’t think of a more apt place to debate such a non issue and make themselves look as silly as the vegans and vegetarians.
Same here. If it ain’t meat, it don’t get called meat. Screw the vegantards. Where’s my bacon buttie?
On a first date…
‘I work with animals every day.’
‘Oh how sweet! What is it that you do?’
‘I’m a butcher…’
Bugger, there goes a “BlowJob” based on the same principal…..
Vegetarians – Village idiots that couldn’t Fish or Hunt.
Vegans – Village Idiots. Period.
I’m amazed. The EU? Wow. I’m about to fire up the BBQ for a late dinner of scotch fillets 🙂
Oh dear…a Misandrist vegan cafe goes out of business
