  1. Unreal! I’d do it- WTF send me up there on a rocket. Just give me a few Jack Daniel’s for courage first. At the US consulate in Auckland there’s a wicked framed photo of New Zealand taken from a space shuttle flight, signed by the astronauts for the consulate staff. Space is cool.

  2. I also find space fascinating.

I don’t, however, want to go there, just look and marvel at it.

I hope that Mr Trump is true to his word and man finally makes the leap to live on both the moon and Mars, preferably before I peg out.

    • I’m completely different. I want to get off this rock and away from the world’s despotic or idiotic regimes.

I don’t ‘get’ the fascination with living on another planet. We should be putting our resources into building a functional O’Neil or McKendree cylinder.

  3. “Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds. To seek out new life and new civilizations. To boldly go where no man has gone before!”

Beautiful photo of Venus. The vastness of space is beyond my comprehension.

  4. NZ is in a great spot for seeing planets- there’s very little light pollution in this little corner of the world. Last winter we could see Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars out our kitchen window with not even a pair of binoculars. (granted where i live it’s black as black at night)
