A fine notice from Tauranga District court for Covid-19 testing non-compliance.

How many of these fines have been issued and by whom?

What offence has the ministry of death identified as being worthy of a fine?

This was last year, 15th July 2021.

18 infringement notices with fines of $300 had been dished out.

This supports this recent tweet though may not apply to those exactly to those charges in the Herald.

Cost of Court case will also accrue.
Which then does the “fine-al” demand.
Warrant for your arrest.
Suspend your driver’s licence.
Seize and sell your property, take money from your income, or bank account.
Report your overdue fine as part of credit rating [with consequential effects]
Restrict your ability to sell your property.
Stop you traveling overseas.

The demanded “pound of flesh” but can they take it “with out a drop of blood”?

    Has been law since 2002…

“The court can stop you travelling overseas
If you have unpaid fines and try to leave or come into New Zealand, the police can stop you at the airport. You will be allowed to pay by credit card over the phone with a registrar.

If you don’t pay, the police can:

    arrest you
    prevent you from travelling
    confiscate your passport
summons you to appear in court at a later date.
If you have a payment arrangement and your payments don’t continue while you are away, you may be stopped when you come back to New Zealand.

If you think you have fines that could affect your travel plans, you should contact us

The court can suspend your driver licence
The court can suspend your driver licence if you have overdue fines from traffic offences. You will be sent a warning letter before this happens.

If you do not respond to this warning letter an order will be made to suspend your license. This order may be served on you by an officer of the court, or by a police officer if you are stopped on the roadside.

Once served the order will be in force. You will no longer be permitted to drive and you will be required to surrender your license.

If you drive while suspended you risk:

having the vehicle you are driving impounded for 28 days
prosecution potentially resulting in imprisonment, fines, and disqualification.

You may not be able to get a loan, credit card or hire purchase
Any fines that are overdue that you are not paying will show up on your credit record. Finance companies usually do not lend money to people with outstanding fines.”

  2. Note here how much more the fines have gone up.
At those fines, the authorities will act even more proactively to enforce collection. 🙁
    .
From 4 December 2021, the new Regulations introduce the following penalties for the different categories:
    Penalties

    Low risk $500
    Medium risk $1000
    High risk $4000
    .
    Infringement fee for bodies corporate
    Low risk $1500
    Medium risk $4000
    High risk $12000

A further proof that “you will have nothing”, if they can put this upon you plus even more costs.
The fines will just be applied, and then you will have major costs to battle against this in a court of law.
This is a part of law-fare on the citizen to comply with all ‘Adhan-ical’ decrees.
