    • That is so sad I am so sorry for all the people who will be affected by this fuck crazy traffic light system which is coming in tomorrow, myself included this is NOT about the virus, how can it be when this new variant has not much in the way of symptoms other than a bad cold. Life is shit for those who have chosen not to accept the jab at the moment the whole world over. It is a scam and anyone who has listened to anything from many scientists and doctors about the jab can tell you. Enjoy your last day of shopping today people if that is what you choose to do. How is it we are safe enough to shop today but not tomorrow? Can we go to liquor stores in future or do we have to click and collect? If we stick to home delivery we will be broke in no time as delivery charges will get us if nothing else does.

      • Lizzie, I have gone to shopping online where possible. Stuff those retailers who are so keen to run the Governments line and ban those who they and the Government deem to be unclean and lepers.

        As far as getting my alcohol supplies I now get my wine from blackmarket.co.nz and spirits from Whiskey & More, both family run NZ businesses with a great range of products at very good prices and delivery times. In many cases with Blackmarket there is no delivery fee on some items.
        They are worth a look.

      Sad news. My favourite cafe in the whole country is closing today because the owners and staff are unvaccinated. For the last few years I have made two trips to Central Otago each year and never fail to stop at Tarras for a breakfast of bacon and mushrooms on toast.

      Shame on this stinking lousy government for causing this, I despise Ardern even more this morning than I did yesterday. God how I hate what these bastards are doing to our country.

    Where the hell does she get her clothing from from? The horse tack shop.

    She had some kind what looked like, a canvas cover over her in the drabbist of colours which would have been deemed to be dull, even for a Soviet interment camp. For a person on close to half a million dollars per year in income, one would have thought she could improve her image and personal projection a little. I keep getting told that one should not criticize someone’s dress habits, but I was also told as a young person that “clothes maketh the man”.

    If that saying holds true, with the clothes I saw the PM wear on TV last night, she would not even make the starting gate for the No 9 at Ellerslie this Saturday. It would be straight to the knackers yard.

  14. Bend over farmers and growers fertilizer is still skyrocketing, just got the latest price shafting email and prices are now at eye watering levels.

    I recall paying around 400 per ton for urea early- mid 2020 that same product is now at 1200 per ton with no sign of letting up. Bulk glyphosate (round up) has also tripled in price during the same period. Machinery and other ag products are all 20-40% higher then this time last year and dont even mention fuel!! Glad i dont pay the bills at work we use 8-10000L fuel per week at the moment OUCH.

    I guess itll all eventually get passed on to the end user/consumer as much of these costs have gone beyond what businesses can absorb. Look forward to looming shortages of veges etc as growers reduce their planting due to costs vs risks of cindy screwing them again with lockdowns and retarded restrictions coupled with labour shortages.

  17. I read in the NZH that the MOH will not commence their investigation into the cyber attack on the Waikato DHB until sometime next year. Well this attack happened on the 18th May this year.

    Why is it taking almost a year to start an investigation into one of the largest cyber attacks in NZ’s history? Why has the Minister of Health the angry and incompetent, Mr Little not demanded some action?

    The MOH is going to investigate the source of the attack and ransom. Are they going to check North Korea, China, Russia or any other Eastern Europe country as to the source of this attack and what are they going to do about it if they find the source of this attack. My opinion is they will try and keep the source secret because it will upset a “trading partner” and then be swept under the carpet. But then the MOH probably know that already and where the attack came from because the Waikato DHB have already carried out their investigation into the attack and have suppressed their findings.

    Our decision has been made following an in-depth COVID-19 health and safety risk assessment and consultation, and review of that feedback. Our risk assessment was based on the potential exposure points to COVID-19 and the controls available to protect people from COVID-19. For completeness, it included the guidance and advice of the Ministry of Health and the criteria established by WorkSafe.

    We would like to thank all those who took the time to share their feedback as part of this risk assessment and consultation.

    We are conscious that the issues regarding this decision are very sensitive and emotive. We are equally conscious that we have a responsibility to do all that we can to protect both lives and livelihoods, while also respecting the views and considerations expressed by our team, shareholders and other stakeholders.

    Following a thorough review of all of the feedback received, we have determined that our COVID-19 Vaccination Policy requiring full vaccination of all staff is ultimately the best way forward for Farmlands, as we look to protect the continuity of the business; the health, safety and roles of our individual staff; and our key role as an essential service and supplier to the agricultural sector under the government’s new COVID Protection Framework.

    On Tuesday 11th January 2022, our policy of full vaccination for staff will come into effect.

    We appreciate that, while our decision will give some people relief, for others it may cause stress and concern. It’s important that everyone is aware that we will do all we can to support our staff through this process.

    • Even though it was belated, delayed by the Hospital officialdom, that Ivermectin Combo protocols came through

      …. Sun Ng, 71 ….. weaned off oxygen about three days after moving out of the ICU.
      He started oral feeding before hospital discharge.
      He returned home without carrying a bottle of oxygen and a feeding tube installed to his stomach.
      He can now stand with a walker at the bedside and practice stepping.
      After being sedated for a month on a ventilator in ICU, his performance is beyond our expectations.

    I did the obligatory on line sign up and waited. The card is normally posted out, and so I can then load credit on to use for journeys. My card didn’t arrive.
    I can’t log back in because my email address is not recognised. So I tried to sign in again and it said my email address was in use.
    The sign in is hilarious with the password requiring 8-20 characters, one upper case, one lower case, a number and a special character. Then there’s the special questions like next door neighbour’s dog and first cousin’s middle name.
    This security for a bloody bus card on a system that has bigger problems than anyone hacking other peoples’ bus ticket accounts.

        Cost was the main factor in a decision not to require proof of vaccination for entry into public facilities such as pools and libraries, Western Bay of Plenty mayor Garry Webber says.

        A variety of
        decisions is emerging as councils around the country decide whether to mandate showing a My Vaccine Pass to enter public facilities from Friday when the new Covid protection framework kicks in.
        Under the framework’s red and orange settings public facilities such as pools, libraries, museums and recreation centres can open with capacity limits based on one metre distancing.

        Councils can choose whether to require vaccine passes and effectively ban unvaccinated people. Unlike the rules for sectors such as hospitality and retail, the decision does not impact how many people can be in a facility.

        Auckland and Taupō councils – both of which will go into the red setting on Friday – have elected not to allow unvaccinated people to use most public facilities. So have Christchurch and Hamilton, which – like the Western Bay and Tauranga – will start at orange. Some councils won’t require the passes for some facilities for two weeks.

        Western Bay council chief executive John Holyoake said in a statement the decision not to use the My Vaccine Pass system was “not made lightly”.

        He said the public service organisation was committed to keeping people safe, but would not be “restricting people depending on their personal vaccine choices”.

        “Many of our council facilities are important hubs across the district for a range of services and so we will continue to make calculated decisions to balance continuity of council services with the safety of the public.

        Appropriate health, hygiene and safety measures will continue.

        Holyoake said the council was looking for “innovative ways” to provide safe access to services and would adapt where it could, such as offering click-and-collect library services and continued virtual council meetings.

        Webber told the Bay of Plenty Times the council decided it would be too difficult and pricey to hire security guards or staff to check vaccine passes.

        “To put people in place to monitor people coming into pools … and public spaces is just too hard and too expensive. It’s just a pragmatic approach.”

        “Someone has got to pay the bill and that is the ratepayers.”

        He said the council had not calculated how many extra staff would be required or the estimated cost.

        Webber, an advocate for vaccinations, said he believed everyone should get the jabs, but he could not make it compulsory so the council just had to hope people did the right thing.

        Asked if vaccinated people may feel more at risk using council facilities also open to unvaccinated people, Webber said it was a situation where “you’re damned if you do and you’re damned if you don’t.”

        “You hope like hell New Zealand follows the Government guidelines, because that’s the best scientific evidence we’ve got.”

        Stuart Crosby, Bay of Plenty regional councillor and president of Local Government New Zealand, said responding to the traffic light system was challenging for councils.

        While they had been provided with professional guidance, it was up to each council to implement the traffic light system, which was resulting in “variations up and down New Zealand”.

        He said all facilities were different and council chief executives also faced challenges relating to whether frontline staff were vaccinated.

        “The main issue will be for councils to communicate with their communities so there are no surprises when people turn up to use a pool or a library.”

        Tauranga Chamber of Commerce chief executive Matt Cowley said a benefit of Western Bay’s decision was that the council would not be “competing with local businesses to hire from a very limited, available labour force to police the vaccine passes.”

        Tauranga City Council has yet to confirm its approach to public facilities under orange.

        Gareth Wallis, general manager of community services, said the council was reviewing local government guidance.

        He told the Bay of Plenty Times it was “likely” that some additional staff or security would be needed to operate within the new system, and that some staff will need additional training.

        Red councils

        Both Rotorua and Taupō district councils have announced they will require the use of My Vaccine Pass for most public facilities.

        In the Eastern Bay, Whakatāne District Council will make a decision on its approach in an emergency meeting on Thursday, with Kawerau District Council also set to meet as it considers its options.

        Ōpōtiki District Council would be operating without vaccine passes until it made a final call.

        On Auckland Council’s decision to bar unvaccinated people from council-staffed services, mayor Phil Goff said the decision would help keep the council’s staff and customers safe and has his support.

        He said research had shown the risk of infection between two unvaccinated people is 20-fold higher than between two vaccinated people.

    Several weeks ago, one of the membership (name now unrecalled), posted a link to a British organisation titled ‘The Vaccine Control Group’ (VCC) which was advocating the formation of an international (And scientifically-organised)! ‘Control group’ of non-vaxxed individuals as a ‘comparative’ group against those who were receiving the ‘Jab’.

    Apparently they were supported by the NZ Doctors in Support of Science (NZSOS) group.

    Did anyone subsequently follow-up on the link and actually join the VCC, and, as they would apoarently be issued with an I/D card stating that ‘The bearer must not be injected with any Covid-109 vaccine’ (or words to that effect), have they had the opportunity / need to use said card yet, and if so what was the result?

Today I joined them – about 15 people in all. At noon they left a message on the intercom, which won’t be acknowledged but will be recorded. This has been going on for a few weeks, I gather – I just found out about it last weekend and finally got there today. t’s a gestu.re but better than nothing
