The American media are finally saying it,” DR Jill and KJP are making the big decisions in the White House”, I’m sure the people are relieved to find that out after all it could have been Kamala Harris 🤡🤡🤡🤡.

Showing if one gives any credence to Biden, then this shows how he lies like a flatfish.

Four minutes of CNN fact-checking Biden’s lies. Brutal.

Just the continuing lies of the gaslighting Biden Whitehouse or who ever is running him behind the scenes.
So finally CNN a great media supporter to the Democrat Party, is revealing these discrepancies as a prepping for change in due time.

Prince Charles should be so lucky, in a private room, probably floor, or even his own wing.
Then to just have a nurse turn up pronto, when one of his hooked up machines starts beeping.

When real life in the ward, either a shortage of nurses, or so busy, and the blasted beeping machine goes on beeping for another 5 minutes or so in the early hours of the morning, waking & keeping every one awake.
Sleep deprivation was the not so secret torture.

This morning, all good, nice & cool, and will peak at a pleasant 20 degrees this afternoon.
Make the most of it..
Next weekend will be another peak of high temps,

Families aye? They do break your heart and no mistake, I have to admit that I try very hard to not think of the ones that have ended my/any relationship with them. I have moved on as it is almost three years since they stopped having anything to do with me so I figure that is long enough to move on. If they have thoughts that do not align with mine I wish them luck in their future but think they are so closed off to any normal thoughts and it doesn’t matter to me any more. I cannot let them rule my life and I believe that it would make them very happy to think I grieve for them so I could never allow that

Actually believe it or not my estrangement with some family members has nothing to do with the jab. Other family who have had the jab I do not ever discuss anything to do with jabs as there is no point. So sorry IAASB, you got that completely wrong.

They’re entitled to hold their views, as I am mine. I couldn’t care less whether people got jabbed or not (many of my remaining friends are jabbed). But I don’t waste my time interacting with people who were ok with the suppression of our freedoms. That includes family.

In my particular case, I no longer bother speaking to my sister. That’s because of her support for the government line and more because of her assertion that my daughter would be capable of deciding by herself whether getting vaccinated against something that was not a threat to her, delivered with an experimental delivery technique, that was at best known to be significantly less safe than other vaccines. When she said that I wondered who the fuck this person I’d grown up with was, TBH.

One thing I realised is that any bond with my sister is nothing compared to that with my daughter, My sister may as well just be a neighbour.

and? if youre tired of being harrassed for being unjabbed then would being ghosted be a blessing?

and tbh who gives a flying fuck who you have falling outs with, family, friends etc just get the fuck over it and move on. why cling on and try repair a relationship when its highly likely itll just happen again… fool me once etc.
forget about them, move on. its much easier and youll be happier for it, if you cant do that then perhaps you were the problem and the other person was justified in the actions.

To me it’s not even about them acknowledging any jab-related stuff, it’s about acknowledging that none of the OTT authoritarian behaviour and the exclusion of the unjabbed was acceptable. But they won’t.

Lizzie, I guess the dream is to always have a happy family unit, but in reality it seldom works out that way. You are right, you have to move on, be in control of your own life and circumstances, put the grief to the back of the mind and enjoy life as much as possible without being selfish or vindictive.

So difficult & painful, to consider; the pain is the greatest, as we have shared a deep unconditional love with them.

Through all the turmoil, & upset, just to keep the memories, etc, & know that your love will/can still endure; as time eventually reveals a different & fuller measure.

A different & fuller measure of knowledge grows.

“For in much wisdom is much grief, and increase of knowledge is increase of sorrow.” Ecclesiastes 1:18

I know when one talks with some older people, you can feel with not only in their wise words, but also hear a ‘wisdom’, in that they have “grown on” from their past experiences, which they probably will not talk about much, if at all.

In the meantime we feel a pain, one of them being of utter frustration.
Eventually; the last vestiges of that frustration we should let go, to go on in our living.

PS, I do not mean to go on with this, but in composing this, is something I am also working on, as I am helping some one with an inevitable death and there are many decisions he has to make, to respect where he is at, , & how I am to proffer help & accept things as they flow.
At the same time I know I could be long gone in double quick time.

Listened to the Carlson/Putin interview last night. Well worth 2 hrs of our time. Easy to see why the elites and lefties do not like Putin. Firstly he is far too intelligent for them but also he is deeply committed to maintaining the Russian culture, language and Russia as a country.
I was thinking afterwards –what NZ politicians could hold a good discussion or debate an issue with Putin? The list would be extremely small.

I watched the whole thing as well. The history lesson was about the only bit that was new to me although I am fairly up to date from events post 2008. However, it confirmed in my mind that the West has deteriorated far more than I realised. I have more respect for Putin than most of the others, (besides my beloved Meloni), and that we have to pray that Trump gets in to avoid a global catastrophe. The denigration of Tucker is proof that he was right on target.

Brian Tamaki is going on the warpath again, calling out NudeNut for both continuing to employ Horseface in her so-called ‘Christchurch Call’ anti free speech rort AND refusing to support Seymour in his attempts to clarify the treaty’s ‘principles’ in law.

Whilst its too early to determine if the coalition govt will deliver what voters expected from pre election speeches, Luxon fails to recogonise that the Maorification of NZ is unacceptable to a significant possibly majorioty view of Kiwis. Recent Curia poll showing National gaining 2% and ACT 7% is possibly a trend that could result in ACT + NZ First leave National trailing as the junior coalition partner post the 2026 election. Luxon may really believe that Maori are special and entitled to special rights not available to non Maori but it doesn’t work check out S Africa following Zimbabwe once the breadbasket of Africa now the basket case.

In other words, what a great achievement by IWI, when in fact, nothing Ngai Tahu have done is revolutionary, new different or groundbreaking. But others have paid for this sameness, so IWI get the recognition and the credit.

The chief Te Koata suggested that they travel via the old war trail known as Rangiuru; this path once brought people out at Rangiuru just behind Te Puke; another trail was Te Kaharoa, which was later expanded upon and eventually became known as the Old Coach Rd.

The road used to travel from Rotorua to Maketu near matches the route.

The third trail was Te Haka a Te Uira, often mentioned in the old chants of Ngāti Pikiao; it would seem that this trail came out near the region of Pukehina; we know this as it was by this trail that the Ngāti Pikiao travelled.

Hence they arrived as Te Tumu was falling.

Those forces that crossed via Te Kaharoa and Rangiuru gathered at Te Puke and devised their plan of attack; they travelled to Pāpāmoa and waited for nightfall, then made their way through the marshes of Wairākei.

Wairākei today features as the boundary that divides the territory of the tribes of Tauranga and those of Te Arawa.

The forces then made their way to a site called Te Kopua, where they were baptised under the rituals of the old Māori gods, giving them all strength and courage to be fast, see all, and hear all.

Charged with their newfound abilities, the great force, still unnoticed moved closer to the stronghold of the Ngai Te Rangi. The great pā is called Te Tumu.
Aerial view running from Maketū pā towards the site of Te Tumu off the distance.
Aerial view running from Maketū pā towards the site of Te Tumu off the distance.

The authentic site of Te Tumu is still debated. It did stand somewhere near the present-day cut. The old chiefs stated that a doubled rowed palisaded stronghold stood upon the dunes.

Not too far from another area known as Otaiparea.

Today pine trees and farms dominate the area, and any successful search to discover the old site has failed.

There it stood. The stronghold of the Ngai Te Rangi. Te Tumu. The old pā site had three entrances. One at the head, another was in the middle, and one to the rear was known as Te Paiaka.

A leader guarded each gate. The knowledgeable fighters of Ngāi Te Rangi. Hikareia, Werohia, Tareha, Tūpaea and many other famous warriors. Under great stealth, the united forces of Te Arawa, numbering near 800 fighting men, were positioned by their war leaders.

Spread out to cover the three main entrances into the pā. As Venus rose in the morning, the fighting commenced. Most warriors were armed with muskets by this time; hatchets were set a flight, and taiaha and mere, the traditional weapons of the Māori, were also put to good use.

With the firing of the muskets, the Ngāti Te Takinga section under Taranui, the only twenty of Ngāti Pikiao, joined with the Ngāti Whakaue as they attacked Te Paiaka. Tūhourangi and Rangiwewehi struck the front and middle side, suffering the most casualties.

Their sacrifice was great.

Though driven back twice, their desire to take the pā was more significant than those trying to defend it. Tūhourangi took Werohia, Tareha, a defender of Te Tumu, and was shot in the chest. Kahawai, the determined leader of Ngāti Rangiwewehi, predicted the taking of the pā; however, he also prophesied that his life would be taken, and he lay dead by the end of the battle.

Hikareia broke from the pā and, with a handful of youthful spirits, bolted along the shoreline, running west towards Tauranga.

Those who fleed were quickly followed. Hikareia, in his youth, was a prominent fighter, a great testimony to his lineage.

At Te Tumu, he was aged, running for his life; he decided to take to the water but was thrown back by a strong wave where the young Arawa fighters pinned him down.

His life was taken. Where Hikareia died has been acknowledged as the boundary separating Te Arawa and Ngai Te Rangi since that time. Te Tumu was taken by the Arawa. The Arawa warriors performed a great war dance before the bodies were set alight and the pā destroyed.

The war party immediately disbanded with each hapū returning home. Except for Ngāti Pikiao, who had arrived late, they were already in combat mode.

They pushed on towards the island of Mōtītī, where a strong force of defenders awaited them.

https://www.nzherald.co.nz/rotorua-daily-post/news/kahu-ki-rotorua-the-fall-of-te-tumu/DKXC27O5WTP34G5HMNGBB5ZELI/?fbclid=IwAR1Vpr_dx6mk_YVWbd20K9yUzrVr3FpsX_iShxs2EyfyW4inKIlMziWB_jc

In this you’re correct. Maori do not forget, especially the Maori elite who record their tribal histories. When the last wringing wet pakeha has conceded everything to Maori then the early settlers will once again divide & reapply themselves to the real purpose of Maori.

These type of stories are heart warming.
We are witnessing the same here. (Gowers rant about the freeze on hiring media folk)
The demise of MSM in real time, a fait accompli.

Jason James
@jasonjamesbnn
Justin Trudeau threw a temper tantrum because his internet censorship bill is backfiring in epic proportions.

Here’s what happened:

The Trudeau Liberals purchased print and television legacy media outlets through various means in order to construct and control the narratives they wanted to circulate.

Canadians quickly realized they were watching and reading propaganda so most stopped paying attention and started using platforms like X to get their news.

The Trudeau Liberals in conjunction with the NDP passed a bill intended to prop up the failing legacy media and strong arm search engines and social media platforms into paying for the right to host legacy media links. This was intended to strengthen his propaganda channels and undermine independent media.

Google, Meta and others told Trudeau to fuck himself and blocked Canadian legacy media on their platforms, resulting in a blackout of legacy media stories and links.

Independent media became the only source of news for the last remaining Canadians who were plugged into legacy media but used the internet to access it and could no longer see posts from CBC, CTV, Global, etc.

Independent media surged ahead of legacy media as a consequence.

Now legacy media networks have begun the process of mass layoffs to cut down on their overhead as they bleed money. Not even billions (yes, billions) of tax dollars in Trudeau grants and subsidies could save them because they’ve lost all credibility and absolutely nobody is tuning in anymore.

There is no doubt Justin Trudeau would censor the internet in Canada completely if his cabinet weren’t afraid of triggering a French style revolution, so what we get instead is the temper tantrum you’re seeing below.

Thank you Justin Trudeau for inadvertently doing your part to Make Canada Great Again

Sometimes think the reason more people haven’t rioted, here and probably Canada too, is because of the industrialised quantities of SOMA the state and society encourages: booze is cheap, Fentanyl in its various guises, THC may as well be legal, drugs laws aren’t enforced. Picked up a couple of hitch-hikers, stoned out of their melons, whom were staying the night under the local bridge. Bet they just don’t care that Trudeau types stalk the world. Just got to stay stoned until the next dole payment on Thursday.

…….” THC may as well be legal,”……

Not on planet NZ anyway. Chis Fowlie, the president of NORML publishes an informative blog on marijuana & the half baked laws it attracts. Ref https://norml.org.nz/category/chris-fowlies-blog/

From the entry dated 15 Sep 2023:

……”For cannabis overall, police still prosecute around 1/3 of those they encounter. If you have no history of drug use offending, this drops to 12 per cent. But for those with previous convictions, the prosecution rate jumps to 43 per cent for cannabis.”…….

This was when the Police were operating under the “we’re too gutless to change the law so police should treat possession as a health based issue” direction from Labour. The mythical deity alone knows what the figures will look like under the Vatican Party’s administration.

Five alcoholics will start a fight, five stoners will start a band.

Yes, but they won’t start a rebellion. Hence industrial THC is the weapon of choice to subdue the unwashed. Keeps them drooling whilst they get screwed.

About time

https://www.1news.co.nz/2024/02/11/government-announces-63-million-cyclone-recovery-boost/
The Government today announced a $63 million funding boost for Hawke’s Bay and Tairāwhiti, as the regions continue to recover from Cyclone Gabrielle.

It comes as the one-year anniversary of the cyclone approaches.

In a statement this afternoon, Emergency Management and Recovery Minister Mark Mitchell said the money will go towards the removal of sediment and debris left behind.

“It also means work can continue to remove woody debris to prevent any further damage to infrastructure and local communities.”

The Gisborne District Council will be allocated $23.6 million of the funding “to ensure urgent work will continue for the processing and removal of woody debris across the region”.

It would be hard to argue that the money isn’t needed to restore the area’s beaches & waterways but it seems that little is being done to ensure that it doesn’t happen again. For so long as loggers are permitted to leave slash where it drops it will find its way into rivers & then to the sea.

In an ideal world the waste would be chipped & burnt to generate electricity. I understand that Genesis have trialled the use of biomass in their Huntly generator. Why can’t small scale generating plants not be set up in Gisborne, Opotiki, Coromandel & similar sites close to massive forests & electricity consumers?

Fuck the greens. Just do it.

They are actually going to allow debris on the beach to be burnt.
People have been making fires with the wood but the authorities think the public may cause problems so they are going to burn as well as chip debris.
I recently saw a video taken by a reporter showing the debris stacked up behind the bridges and rail bridge by the river mouth outlets.
It was unbelievable how much was backed up and no wonder bridges gave in. No one is saying anything about it.
The effect was in fact a dam and that must have been a major contributor to the subsequent flood damage. There are many questions to be asked of the council but they are blaming everyone and everything except their lack of maintenance for a massive amount of damage.

Why can’t they have small woodfired generators in the bush and just run a power cord out to the nearest powerline?

Probably wouldn’t be practical on a micro scale. At the same time it seems that NZ has bought in to the “big is beautiful” crap to the point that no-one thinks of the sweet spot between maxi & mini.

I’d suggest that the biomass be carried no more than 60km, the plant be scaled to the wastewood available & sited adjacent to a sub station.

Then burn baby, burn!

The original intent of anti treating legislation wasn’t much aimed at the distribution of a bucket or two of KFC nor plates of cucumber sandwiches. Things got a trifle messy in the Dominion’s early elections. From https://nzhistory.govt.nz/politics/election-day/early-elections

……”As in Britain, New Zealand’s early elections (especially in cities and towns) were often colourful, noisy and drunken affairs. Candidates and their committees hired musicians, flew banners, and organised parades and banquets for their supporters.

Auckland’s early elections were particularly notorious, with numerous allegations of drunkenness and corruption. In 1855, one candidate’s committee room was described as ‘nothing better than a common drinking booth − a regular tippling-shop’, where ‘half-intoxicated men were seen either reeling out of their own accord, or being dragged to record their votes at the poll’. Another candidate was said to have ‘rolled a hogshead of rum into the street with his own hands, and invited the electors to fall in’.

As well as ‘treating’ (where candidates laid on free food or drink to entice electors to vote for them), there were widespread allegations of bribery and intimidation. Some electoral rolls were inaccurate or bloated with out-of-date or false entries, including the names of recently deceased electors. This made it easy for unscrupulous electors to impersonate others and vote more than once.”…….

Winston Peters was also ok with signing up & agreeing with the UN terms & conditions for UN Global Migration Pact, which also controlled the media in raising any concerns about immigration.

WP was more than happy to reward Hamas by making an extra contribution to UNWRA in the name of “humanitarian” concerns.

First two paragraphs from ‘The Manual of New Zealand History.’1886.
on ‘The Native Race.’

There is nothing on record respecting the origin of the Maori people; but, their arrival in New Zealand, according to tradition, is due to an event which from its physical possibility, and from the concurrent testimony of the various tribes, is probably true in its main facts.

The tradition runs that generations ago, a large migration took place from a distant island, to which the Maoris give the name Hawaiki. Quarrels among the natives drove from Hawaiki a chief, whose canoe arrived upon the shore of the North Island of New Zealand. Returning to his home with a flattering description of the country he had discovered, this chief it is said, set on foot a scheme of immigration, whereupon a fleet of large double canoes started for the new land. The names of most of the canoes are still remembered, and each tribe agrees in its account of the doings of the people of the principal “canoes” after their arrival in New Zealand.; and from these traditional accounts the descent of the numerous tribes has been traced. Calculations based on the genealogical staves kept by the ‘Tohungas’ or priests indicate that about twenty-seven generations have passed since the migration, which would give for its date about the beginning of the fourteenth century. The position of Hawaiki is not known, but there are several islands of this or a somewhat similar name.

Braybots@1914

Thank you; It’s interesting to see how, despite having the ‘nous’ to navigate over vast distances, over succeeding generations (And presumably as a result of the ongoing inter-tribal conflicts which occurred), once they had established themselves over whomever was here beforehand, the new arrivals eventually ‘forgot’ how to go ‘home’ and with it, the ability to maintain trade with the islands of their ancestors.

As the author of the passage would have got the ‘fleet’ story first hand , It does tend to somewhat-shred the current activist’s ‘Original, always and forever inhabitants’ narrative…

The Crow and the Rabbit

A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A small rabbit saw the crow, and asked him, “Can I also sit like you and do nothing all day long?”

The crow answered: “Sure, why not.” So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the crow, and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the Story: To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.
