I wandered out a bit earlier and thought gees its a bit cool. 12 degrees the phone said. going to 25.

It is the kinda of days we usually get in late autumn when the stags are roaring. cool in the morning with nice crisp days. Thats about april or easter time.

Doesn’t bode well for a warm winter. Might be a freezer.

^ Does not really matter what the winter turns out to be.
Or if the system spikes electricity prices, or even if it is available, or not.

Get plenty of fire wood, coal or lignite in.
It is just part of the same concept, “Drill baby drill”.

No intention to suffer either way, as a warm house, makes one feel like a millionaire.
“Put another log on the fire, Baby”.
Do not suffer,
Life is to be lived, & parts of it to be enjoyed.

2)Horses and cows sleep while standing up.

Some MPs sleep while at work in the debating chamber.

16) The fastest bird, the spine-tailed swift, can fly as fast as 106mph. (Peregrine falcon is actually 390km/hr or 108mph)

That did not make sense. 390km/hr (confirmed) is 243 mph. So the fasted bird is not the swift, but the Falcon, unless you think a Falcon is not a bird.

The swift is the fastest bird in horizontal flight.
The Peregrine falcon is the fasted bird in vertical downwards flight.
And that matters to smaller birds that are prey of the falcon, including swifts.

12) Blue whales are the largest creature to ever roam the Earth.

Do you have any data that confirms that Blue Whales at one stage had legs or feet?

13) A cockroach can survive for about a week without its head before dying of starvation.

Some Labour, Green, or TPM MPs can last years without a brain. And can frequently lose their head in the debating chamber.

22) The human brain has memory space of over 2.5 Million Petabytes which is 2,500,500 Gigabytes.

All that storage space, and Hipkins can’t even remember what a woman is.

the cow to produce 200k glasses of milk is either small glasses, a freak high producer or about 10yrs old… not that many cows get that old, usually culled at 6-8yrs when they miss a season getting in calf.

I think this is why he is pissed off with Seymour and his Bill. Winston has tried for years to get rid of the so called ‘principles ‘ with no support ,especially from National who have allowed this bs to carry on for years.
It is the only way to solve it rather than trying to define something that doesn’t exist.

He might get another go, wiseowl. If Luxon stops Seymour’s bill then under the agreement between National and NZF , NZF can introduce their own bill (about the same as Winston’s 2005 bill) and Luxon has not said anything about not supporting it past the first reading. But Potaka will still be in the background doing everything to stifle it.

A devout Christian from Wales, just a bit mentally disturbed, stabs & kill 3 & severely wounds a others at Stockport.

So what if a jailed felon, Tommy Robinson from his prison wing hears that the culprit is a regular attender of mosque like sessions of prayer.

The media tries not to mention the gender of the prime suspect, nor the ethnicity, nor the religion.

So how does the media know that it is a mentally disturbance.?
So do the so called journalists know the name & previewed the medical records.

So many reasons for an isolated incident. why?
Will we ever know what happened?

The same scam unfolds daily in NZ courtesy of our corrupt, social engineering MSM. Never a mention of ethnicity when a violent criminal bashes a toddler to death. No mention of ethnicity when welfare kids turned teenage thugs run riot. We are supposed to suspend all of our learned prejudices & keep a open mind even when the pixelated photos show non white appendages & common sense would alert a blind man to the risk. 1984 again:

……”In a way, the world-view of the Party imposed itself most successfully on people incapable of understanding it. They could be made to accept the most flagrant violations of reality, because they never fully grasped the enormity of what was demanded of them, and were not sufficiently interested in public events to notice what was happening. By lack of understanding they remained sane. They simply swallowed everything, and what they swallowed did them no harm, because it left no residue behind, just as a grain of corn will pass undigested through the body of a bird.”…….

We live in a post-truth world.

Now where were the girls, of DEI? Did they say they would not even help a guy, as he is in the wrong place, not listening to their warnings?

Work ‘ealth & safety’ laws & regulations seemed to have worked for the DEI Fire Person. Were any injured, died, or raised a sweat?

The January 2023 floods – 2 years ago- were a fine example of FAILURE .

It was very heavy rain at 3 pm, pouring at 5 pm
Huge deluge for over 40 minutes at 7 pm

This was Friday evening at start of the long Anniversary weekend
Local Govt and Central govt failed.

there were cars stuck on the motorway where dips flooded.
Auckland is undulating.

No prick could make up their mind about the Elton John concert
finally cancelled at at 7.10pm – concert due to start at 7.30
Elton John was able to fly out of Auckland at 10 pm
He was more organized than any goo-mint wallys

Council already stuffed up and told people to use trains to go to concert …. then at 3pm they informed that all trains were off everywhere to take advantage of long weekend to do repairs
…which of course never happened

Civil defence could not make up their mind

the roads were a mess with cars bobbing about in water at 7 pm but NZTA signed off soon after and wished suckers a good weekend.

The Met office was shite (no surprise)

Every level of Govt failed and there was no central co-ordination.

There was severe flooding by 4 pm

It was a huge fail that was clearly unfolding from 1 pm

Lessons leant ???
2 weeks later they failed again in Gisborne/ Hawkes bay

So yeah, NO lessons learnt
and if it happened next week…. it would fail again

…..But there will be an inquiry. It might even be royal one.
Wow.
And the usual talking heads will get well paid for 6 to 20 months
and nothing will change.

and yet we have an ever tightening net of elf and safety that creates massive compliance costs to the point of killing productivity.

Like all these situation these shitheads stand around, spout crap, scratch their azz and let it fail
Then have an INQUIRY
woop de do
nothing gets improved.
and no-one is accountable

So pointing the finger at the Demonrats in California will not solve anything.
It is no better here.
Bureaucrats and politicians are the same in the western world.

Civil defence is amateur hour that takes a long time to mobilise,
Addressing a flood build up in the four hours leading to peak is beyond them .

Hey Ed.

As a fellow grey nomad you may be interested in this clip. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=962uMppj6ms

It was made by the Kiwi owner of a caravan & details the hoops he had to jump through to get the new “green” freedom camping certification. The comments tend to suggest that satisfaction with Stuart Nash’s brainfart legislation has gone subterranean.

The reason for the new regulations was to get small vans converted to campers like the ‘Jucy’ shitheaps & hired out to tight arsed ‘ten minute noodle’ tourists off the road. They wouldn’t use the Porta Potties, preferring to shit in the shrubbery. Instead Covid took care of that problem & left us with certification inspectors who at best have no idea & at worst are using the new regs to boost their insufferable egos.

But the ultimate irony is that a way round the Porta Potty ban has been found. While Kiwis have to rebuild their caravans the scum who rent out Hi Ace Hiltons can circumvent the regs with a $120 bracket.

“From 7 June 2025, all vehicles will need to be certified with a green warrant to be certified self-contained under the new requirements.”

And once that whole process concludes, National is promising to vote down the bill when it returns to Parliament.
In a brief conversation with members of the public, posted to social media over summer, Prime Minister Christopher Luxon promised to “spike it” and “kill it”.

https://www.stuff.co.nz/politics/360547285/treaty-principles-bill-smashes-submissions-record

25 •06:08pm

“Even people who don’t support my bill appear to be supporting the idea of mass participation in what the Treaty means in 2025. I think that is very, very exciting,” he told Stuff on Tuesday, as submissions closed that afternoon.
The original deadline for submissions on the Treaty Principles Bill had been last week, but then Parliament’s website crashed.

Parliament’s Chief Clerk, David Wilson, said the sudden onslaught of submissions on deadline day – January 7 – had overwhelmed the system. As a result, he said more than 10,000 hard copy submissions were delivered to Parliament.
“We expected the bill to have a lot of submissions – but it was even more than we expected, so they really overloaded it and caused it to shut down. It’s great so many people wanted to have a say – but it was just a bit too much,” he said.

While Seymour said it was heartening to see such engaged debate, Labour’s Willie Jackson told Stuff this bill was not something to celebrate.
“We’re talking dangerous legislation here. This is dangerous legislation. He can pat himself on the back as much he likes, but people are worried. People are feeling threatened by this legislation,” Jackson said.

Next week, politicians – albeit not Seymour – will be at Rātana Pā. That is their first chance this year to sit kanohi ki te kanohi with te iwi Māori.
