Aahhh SB! Is not the English Language and are childrens books not wonderful? Who can forget great classics like Captain Pugwash where these characters were the lead role.

Master Bates.
Seaman Stains.
Roger, the Cabin Boy.

And nobody questioned them.

Yeah, nah.
Captain Horatio Pugwash – sails the high seas in his ship called the Black Pig, assisted by cabin boy Tom, pirates Willy and Barnabas, and Master Mate. His mortal enemy is Cut-Throat Jake, captain of the Flying Dustman.

Andrew Bayley resigning for touching the upper arm of a they/them. We always knew they are sensitive, but this is ridiculous.
On a serious note, I know of people working in minister officers over the years, and it’s not in unusual to have ministers yelling at the staff. Some are reportedly worse ministers than others and you can tell by the staff turnover for them.

…How is it the Mormon church have built and completed.…

They are a massively Rich MONEY church with vast financial resources from 170 years of tithing and regular inward cashflow from, yes, again, tithing.
and exploit their own free labour., like the other churches.

They are a bit more honest about that gig than most churches
It is ALL about money
and control over people to that end.

The sneaky catholics love to go on about poverdy and missions while they land bank and acquire riches.
Is that pope fulla dead yet?
will just be replaced by another hypocrite.

The catholics are so tight with their money they wont even pay the priests and further, won’t allow them to get married like other religions because it would mean using their precious money to pay for a wife and family.
Not really very family oriented .
Which heavily contributes to why they get sexual perverts as priests, in high proportion.

I remember a mate in school days. His parents marriage was in trouble and they were getting counselling from their priest.
We were both WTF. What would he know ?
Probably a mummy’s boy and bullied by women to be where he is.

———————-
The CHC cathedral does not need to be replaced.
It is not like is was hundreds of years old like say Notre Dame or other churches in Europe.
If they are not going to celebrate 170 years of Whyte settlement….

Anyhow, the truth is the cathedral was damaged 3 times in the last 20 years of the 1800s from earthquakes so lets get honest here.
It was a cute short lived project from a recent time, now passed.

and Anderton the catholic is dead, so STFU.
When will Bolger join him?

The Mormons are also tight. Missionaries have to pay their own way to do their missions.

If you’re a guy who’s done a mission, you’re more desirable to the women because you’re seen as having had the financial means to have done so.

It is a 2000 year old way of collecting data and the Stats Dept has been heavily compromised since 2018

I had a number of live links to stat sites that were all pulled in 2018 as part of the liebour suppression of facts campaign.

Property taxes can be very high in US .
Compared to NZ.
I stayed circa 2000 with an old university friend in LA.
Her house was a 3 bedroom California bungalow .
between inner and outer suburbs. Middling.
The annual property tax then 25 years ago was $7000 per annum.

It can be high.
In US you are paying taxes to run 4 levels of bureaucracy.
Federal, State, County, City/town
They are all vying for revenue.

——————————-
In Australia it is 3 levels with Federal, State, town/city.
States made sense in Australia 150 years ago
… but now with modern instant comms and flying from one State capital to another in a bit over an hour vastly reduces the need for this second layer .

Especially when it is noted that at Federation in 1901 there were only 2 functions for Federal AU Govt. Defense and External affairs AFAIR.
Then Canberra replicated everything that States had incl Dept of Health and of Education.

So
either devolve back to States or centralise.
The thought of centralising to the out of touch greedy bureaucrats in Canberra is hideous, there they grow themselves faster than the economy – like a virus
They need DOGEing.

Yesterday I had a meeting with my MP.
Had a few issues I wanted to clarify and she was OK to discuss with and showed some understanding . Mainly relating to the aftermath of the flood.
Unfortunately only had half an hour so was unable to get through my list.
Did take note and held off on a topic she brought up. Blue Greens. She had been to that meeting in the weekend and was all enthusiastic about their blue green policy.
I now have some points to follow up on so will see how things progress .
Was horrified to learn the Regional Council now has over 500 staff. Bloody outrageous . She said the Minister is to make some announcements soon regarding Local Government and its role.
I had been pointing out some issues with the Regional Council and she then told me she was meeting with them in the afternoon so maybe that was opportune.

one of my long time mates that drifted apart passed away mid last year he was 35, another mate in our circle of friends passed just before xmas, he was 41. both massive heart attacks, both unjabbed, 1 very overweight (samoan) the other very atheletic. one of wifeys rellies passed last year too, 25yrs old she went to bed with headache and never woke up. she lost her teaching job due to mandates so doubt jab played any role in that either.

shit happens mate, look at all the shit in our food, water, air and chemicals we’re exposed to in our everyday lives.
add to that high levels of stress, mens reluctance to go doctor etc and of course we’re gunna notice more folk tipping up.

you can blame jabby jab all you fucking like but tbh unless its within a few weeks of getting jabbed i highly doubt its the cause, it could contribute yeah sure but nothing can be proven.

we dont even have any data comparing vax vs unvax health, illness, mortality. you cant draw any conclusions without it, you lot only notice or search for stuff that aligns with your biases and neglect most of what contradicts your views.
go look at the mortality tool i posted the other day, even i was suprised and was proven wrong. curious may remember what it was or what day i posted it but it showed no increase in young ppl dying after the jab hysteria, infact it stayed steady or dropped soit shits all over the crap spurted on here near daily for several years.

…..”What I find interesting is that the signals show up in other countries data and in the insurance data.”…..

Collecting useful information is dependant on asking the right question(s). In this instance I’m surmising that X number of people aged Y to Z died between 2021 & 2022 those who did the reporting neglected to advise how or what from.

In 2021 we like much of the planet were locked down & isolated. The usual leading causes of death amongst young adults are unintentional injuries such as road traffic accidents,
drowning & violence which in their absence may have been replaced with vaccine related fatalities.

Same number…..different causes.

This morning’s RCR Bites points out the chasm between Bishop Tamaki’s “Man Up” group & the collection of motley & diseased shirt lifters trying to normalise perversion in the minds of our kids & grandkids. They contrast Red Radio’s support for the sodomites vs Bishop Brians defence of his church members.

As expected RNZ’s waffle concentrates on feelz while the Good Bishop fires facts. Facts such as the Labour leader’s inability to provide a definition of a woman & the small detail ignored by those calling for Destiny’s charity status to be withdrawn. Apparently that will be an uphill battle as they “already operate without it to stay free of government control”.

Be as unreasonable as you like you cannot escape that they had a well-thought-out policy and had at one point a reasonable following but an uphill battle made worse because the first 5 who were standing quit when they couldn’t control the narrative.
as did Bob Jones way back and one of the key things about the NZ Party was that they were developing a constitution, which, had it been completed and implemented, would have removed from possibility all the crap we have these days. I have a friend, who is quite old and sadly dying, who was involved in the process.
So, we are still going backwards because Jones and the NZ Party with its huge vote at the time didn’t get into Parliament. It was first past the post days. ( Incidentally, that was what bought about MMP, Bolger version).

We have a choice, support a party that accepts that individual rights matter all the time, not when it suits Mr Seymour or others who can’t be bothered even considering that we do have some rights to our individuality and choice and our property rights, which incidentally are the same thing as our rights as a person.

It could have been saved at “relatively little” cost. It is common practice in the O&G industry for a company that owns a producing well, for example, to on sell at the cost (or less) of decommissioning the well. A very large company may decide the well is at the end or near the end of it’s producing life but a small company with lower management/corporate overheads can realistically think they can squeeze a few more profitable years out of it so they buy the well at very discounted price (ie. much less than it would to set it up).

The Government could have said it was strategy national asset and offered to buy it off the owners at the discounted price. The owners would have made money (simply by not spending money on decommissioning it) and Government would have got the bargain of the century.
But there was no one in Government with any commercial brains , including those in the Opposition (esp. the Nats leader).

A couple of the guys who were involved in the protest (outside the gates of the refinery) did a deep dive into the figures, the world wide refinery business etc.
Their report is on their website http://www.operationgoodoil.co.nz
They don’t pretend to know all the answers but they made quite a good case for it’s continued operation if someone had got in really early. Too late now, though.

AN EARLY WHITE FLAG, AGAIN
Meridian and New Zealand’s Aluminium Smelter have agreed that NZAS will provide 50MW per hour of demand response for winter 2025. In other words, NZAS will be reducing their power use over the coming months to help with conserving New Zealand’s hydro storage. It’s a continuation of demand response arrangements that NZAS and Meridian have successfully cooperated on for some time. Essentially it means we don’t generate enough power to keep the country running over winter. Even today prices are relatively high because generation is relatively low.
BELOW AVERAGE
Auckland’s water storage dams are 68.6% full. Normal for this time of year is 79.2%.

When was the most recent water storage dam in Auckland built? How has the population of Auckland changed since that time?

UNDERWHELMED, COMING UP SHORT
Yesterday we reported that Ryman (RYM, #17) was seeking $1 bln from shareholders and new equity to pay down debt. Today we can report they ‘only’ raised $719 mln through its $313 mln underwritten institutional placement, and the institutional component of its $688 mln entitlement offer. When trading resumed, their equity prices fell -19.6% (and down *-27% in a week), and that dragged the market sharply lower. RYM has lost more than $800 mln of value over the past week. It’s been a huge week of value destruction given Spark lost more than $1 bln earlier.
CLEANUP UNDERWAY

The shareholders of Northport, the port at Whangarei, are moving to clean up it ownership structure. When completed, Northport will be owned 50% by the Port of Tauranga, 42% by the Northland District Council, and 7% by Tupu Tonu, a Crown-owned investment company tasked with acquiring and building a portfolio of commercial assets that can be offered in future Treaty settlement negotiations with Ngāpuhi.

Covid Inquiry hit by top level resignations
The executive director and two legal counsel at the Covid Royal Commission of Inquiry have quit, raising serious questions over the status of the Inquiry and the way it is being run.
Executive director Helen Potiki and legal counsel Kristy McDonald KC and Nick Whittington, have yet to publicly announce their resignations or the reasons they are leaving but Stuff understands the trio have quit due to concerns about processes at the Inquiry.
Potiki had only been in the role since October 2024.

Going back to Erebus 45 years ago there has not been an honest and fair INQUIRY – Royal or any other bullshit term- in that time.

These are blood letting, controlled operations whose output is mumbo jumbo. Reams of paper that Polsci students can get a Masters or PhD on.
Otherwise, it is kindling.

No difference to the output, whether it has 10 x KCs or 10 monkeys.

Couldn’t agree more.
Worse now since that shrieking harridan girlfriend of yours who was promoted to speaker, what was her name, was also Attorney General and removed our option of going to the privacy council with the help of the nasty bitch Clark.
