I sold out my shares in Fletcher Challenge in August 1990.
They never saw that $4.40 price again.”

I held Fletcher Challange shares. When they were split, I hung onto Fletcher Energy.

  2. The NZ Herald claims that on a Winston Peters social media post, that the Horsefaced Ardern, never advised him, when he was Deputy PM, that her Office had been advised of the Christchurch shootings as “Bizarre” and “Astonishing”.

I do not understand why either of these words would be used at it fits Ardern’s track record, for Ardern never bothered to tell Winston Peters, when he was also Deputy PM under her regime about the He Puapua Report either and what Labour had planned for this country.

It seems, no one knew about this an email to Arderns Office about Brenton Tarrant’s intentions and this has only become public at the Coronial Inquiry. Of course Labour dispute Peters claims, if they are untrue, then Labour should put up their evidence of that advice given to Peter’s, but of course, they won’t.

A truly despicable person is Ardern.

    • hooli, fark you for posting a link with numerous photos of that woman playing muslim dressups. ffs i didnt realise they lit up a fucking sky scraper with her fucking image, wtf did those poor people do to deserve that?

i agree that ardern needs to give evidence but not for what winnie claims. she should be giving evidence on why she and her select commitee members ignored pleas to keep FAL licence vetting the same and why they chose to ignore other pleas to change the legal loopholes tarrant exploited to get his high capacity mags etc.

fwiw within hours of the attack FAL vettors around the country all got their jobs reinstated and the nee vetting system tarrant gained his licence abandonded… until now, its now being reimplemented and many of the vettors have complained and aired their concerns its not very robust and easily manipulated.

cindys FAL changes will kill yet more innocent people in coming years. shes the gift that keeps on giving 🙁

      • I’ve read the “manifesto”. The biggest scandal is that Ardern and her media propagandists lied about what it said and lied about Brenton’s political leanings. It contains nothing hateful, no calls to violence, attacks Trump and conservatives generally, says the right has sold out to corporate interests, praises the various cultures of the world, is strongly Green focused, he doesn’t hate Jews or muslims etc. The only political figure he praises is a black woman.

        He is a leftist 100%

    • The big unscrupulous players have been using acts of violence against their own people to cement their power for centuries.

America new about pearl harbour before. The USS Liberty was a planned sacrifice. The bay of Tonkin was staged by Jim Morrison dad (the doors) to superheat Vietnam. A guy called Lee called the FBI weeks before JFK was shot to tell them there was a ploy to shoot the president.

That moment when you realise most conventional history is bullshit, is like an unforgettable gong.

Then you find out Robert Maxwell (pedo island, Mossad) bought McGraw Hill which write most of our kids textbooks. What the.

      11

      • Tell the readers who attacked the USS Liberty. And while you are there tell them who carried out the King David Hotel bombing and who they attempted to blame. You can top it off by telling them about the Lavon Affair.

Of course accurately recounting historical proven and admitted facts will get you down ticked.

        • Tis not all one way. The first, and biggest, bankers were Italian Medici’s followed by German Fuggers. The downfall of the west started with Luther, after pope absolution (alex). Luther wanted to impregnate a nun, and couldn’t follow his vows. Not an auspicious beginning of the Protestant movement. Bushes Skull & Bones were Wasps. Best be balanced, evil is banal. Yet good is banal too, and it’s worth fighting for mr Frodo.

    • What irritates me is how the media insert the adjective “bizarre”, signaling their own opinion on the matter. So much for impartial, unbiased reporting. Journalists should be banned from using adjectives.

    • On BFD yesterday someone said the email from Tarrant was sent 13 minutes before the first shot. The poster did not present a link of the evidence for this figure, so it could be BS spread by the Labour Party as damage control. But remember the Police armed defenders squad or some similar outfit were doing exercises, basically just around the corner on that day.

    • But truly one must realize that it was in the manifesto was the plans of the timing, places, armaments, and even the casual meetings by BT, through digital systems with officials close to Ardern that may have been interpreted as giving the go ahead. It is all down in that manifesto, only to be opinionated by approved journalists.
That is why Ardern should come out & declare on oath what how she & her officials are not involved, like the total censorship of the manifesto.

Many are aware how government & pfizer want to say there is no contract that either party needs to abide by.

Like how in agreement with Winston Peters, their Agreement is to be kept in the dark, to allow He Puapua, & Mahuta Corp to prosper on the Fresh Water deals.

Both, Peters & Ardern, were in such an open & transparent government that the good citizen is mandated to be in compliance with Censorship, Vaxxes, Gun buybacks, Health, Gender, etc.. Now that is called real “Choice” & all other information to the contrary is to be kept in the hidden closet.

Sure Winston Peters had just finished his term with Ardern, but it seems all hunky dory how aid was provided for Hamas to benefit from..

“The Israel Institute of New Zealand has shown that at least $1m of taxpayer money has been paid to UNRWA and there have long been reports of links to terror and corruption within the organisation (http://bit.ly/3cHkVSY).

I thought she was just pond scum sludge, is that the worst anyone could be? If anyone else can think of anything more disgusting than that please ad it. I do believe Winston about this. There were many nasty liarbor decisions that she kept from him. I think she wanted to wear the scarf so loved the attention Fucking bitch.

    • Lizzie, Ardern as “pond scum”. You are far too kind.

I think that now this “Pond Scum” is out of the country, she will now not return to New Zealand. There is too much shit about her and her actions starting to come to the surface which will put her in a very poor light and she as the coward that she is, will not want to front up and face, answer or defend them.

If she does not return her, the country will have become a far better place to live.

  5. More pushing for change we don’t want. Cash is still Legal Tender.

The end of cash? What a cashless economy would look like
    https://www.1news.co.nz/2023/10/26/the-end-of-cash-what-a-cashless-economy-would-look-like/

But the same statistics show nearly 43% of New Zealanders still use cash to pay for everyday items.

However, those who prefer to use cash could find fewer places allow them to do so in future.

Cash transactions are already out of the question on some public transport systems and increasingly in cafes and other hospitality spaces. More retailers also prefer not to be paid in cash.

    • dont worry WG, ysbs crypto fans and spruikers will welcome cashless society with open arms. they dont realise their cult like enthusiasm is being used to grease them up for full digital control… most crypto clowns dont realise crypto transactions are one of the most traceable on the planet with it being near impossible to hide the money trail.

    • What happens in a cashless society when the power goes out or there’s a cyber attack? How do you pay for food and petrol?

Japan is still largely a cash society for day-to-day purchases, although non-cash payments via smartphones are becoming mainstream among the young. Not so the old guys (like me).

      • The same problem as happened to the people on the East Coast.
Even having cheques, & knowing the banks would have processed them in due time, up to 6 months the date.

All changes to become more efficient,
        Bank agencies closed,
        Staff laid off,
More auto tellers to my surprize a few years ago could work out cash & cheques.
So why are banks not “Zero fees” on all accounts 🙂

But fees seem to be relentless,
        The bait & switch.

      • Not that many years ago in Christchurch, it was only those who had cash in hand that could access dairies and petrol stations after the earthquake. Neighbours would gather to pool their cash to get supplies for families with children.
It will probably take another disaster for some people to realise that EFTPOS, ATMs, petrol pumps, etc don’t work if the power is out and no business is going to give you anything for free.

    • Waikatogirel@0706

It gets worse! An elderly acquaintance of ours came back from Australia with a reasonably large amount of Oz currency on her and tried to put it in her NZ bank account.

Despite her being a very long-term customer, the bank refused her request as they ‘No longer handle foreign currency in it’s physical form’.

      So what to do?

The only solution she could find was to visit her nearest (Indian run) currency exchanger and have them change it (For a substantial fee of course) to NZD, after which she could then deposit it with her bank.

Needless to say she was very unimpressed and is now having to consider her future banking options; to the extent that her hitherto long-term bank may shortly be losing a customer…

    • What do you think would happen if your offer to pay cash was turned down?

Since cash is legal tender in New Zealand, could you walk out with your attempted purchase?

      • True. But two things. It will put a hiccup in Maori aims of having full legislative power over their own lives. It may also lead to legislative action… maybe even in a written constitution. But the best thing is it will allow the lancing of a boil. Too often racism is considered a white thing. Maori racism is just as bad. In some cases, worse.

  7. I can’t see Hamas ever releasing the Israeli hostages. They consider Jews lower than dogs. I’m betting hostages will be used as shields. Or booby-trapped and used as suicide devices. Hamas must surely realise they will soon be dead. They will want, if possible, to put on a good show for the worlds media.

      • Why so many strident opinions on a hopeless war between 2 beligerants. Why does the msm force us to pick sides. Both sides are going to lose. This is world war 3 brewing and lose-lose for everyone. Overtly biased keyboard warrirors should be given free tickets to the morass. Let the wiise sit on the fence for this one. • ……”This is world war 3 brewing and lose-lose for everyone”……..

It should get the rosary beads rattling for the Godaddled. Megiddo is supposed to be the site for the final battle, that of Armageddon. Revelations 16:18-20:

“18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.”

Not unlike what one would expect after a nuclear explosion.

A good memory & three years at a church run boarding school were all I needed to to become an atheist with a passably good knowledge of the garbage contained in the Bible.

    • Muslim extremists all seem to operate along similar lines when it come to atrocities. Dr Shawn Baker was a US surgeon in Afghanistan.

He related how they spent countless hours on surgery and rehabilitation for a Taliban soldier. When the soldier was released from medical care, he was taken a short distance away and shot.

In another incident, groups of child used to gather outside a safe compound to receive lollies from US soldiers. On day a suicide bomber walked amongst them and blew them up.

On another occasion he was taken to a refugee compound to administer medical aid. The Muslims started hissing as he tried to render help.

      6

      • a short distance away and shot”

The fear is that “Taliban soldier” would have turned into a traitor, either then or be so thankful for the American hospital so would have sown seeds of doubt within a Taliban encampment.
        Again that would be treacherous..

        7

          • A sign of weakness accepting aid, maybe?
Not that he had any choice, but with out that medical aid, = same result & a way to Martyrdom?
A Shaheed that can be celebrated by his family as a martyr?

It is very important to have a martyr in your family as it is by his blood that can testify along with Mohommad to Allah to release up to about 70 family & relatives from purgatory.
Many westerners, & definitly overlooked as they ridicule by saying it is for Paradise, & that is so, in part, but the real part is what they can do for their family relatives.

I do not know why media, western leaders wantonly remain ignorant, only revealing the paradise of 70 constantly “houri’s”, that is refreshing virgins.

It seems to be keep the rest of us ignorant, so the west does not really understand what they are up against.

      • “He related how they spent countless hours on surgery and rehabilitation for a Taliban soldier. When the soldier was released from medical care, he was taken a short distance away and shot.”

That doesn’t make sense. Was Dr. Baker working for the US forces as a surgeon? Was the Taliban soldier a prisoner of war (of the US)? Which side shot him?

        2

        0

        • You have realise US medical staff tended to both civilians, enemies and US soldiers. The medical facilities were split into different areas to treat these different groups. Yes, Baker was a US surgeon.
I’m sorry I can’t find the YT clip. It was very recent. Maybe it has been censored, as have many clips regarding Muslims.

          • I can understand the US propaganda value that a patched-up Taliban soldier would have.

“Wow! The Americans fixed you up! Maybe they’re not so evil after all…!”

The Taliban cannot possibly allow the civilians under their control to think that way.

      • The first casualty when war comes is truth

Who knows what really happened among all this.

The NZ soldiers were building schools and hospitals.
        And yet got combat medals.

If you tell the lies from one side, tell the lies from others side.
No foreign soldier should have ben in Afghanistan. Thereafter, forget truth.

The so called Spanish Flu originated in the USA. US Soldiers carried it to Europe. Neither warring side would tell the truth of soldiers dying. .
It was neutral Spain that declared it after it had been in many countries.

To ‘quote’ these ‘stories’ is to perpetuate propaganda.

  8. Was in the Chemist shop yesterday & remarked to the assistant…”Wow..you’re really going for the Halloween thing this year with the zombie costumes”.

“No Sir” she said, “that’s the queue for methadone”.

    13

    0

    • Lol… I find watching the methadone line interesting. First, the cross section of society. While mostly tattooed and unkept people seem to be in the majority, there’s still a good smattering of what would be considered middleclass folk. The unkept types seem to relish their status as drug addicts. They turn and face the retail area, then scull their methadone with purpose. The middleclass folk look straight ahead. But the look from dispensary staff is something to behold. They look down on these people with absolute contempt. They just can’t hide it. No smile; very perfunctory. Of course I can’t talk for other chemist shops.

  9. A woman awakes during the night to find that her husband is not in bed.
She puts on her robe and goes downstairs to look for him. She finds him sitting at the kitchen table with a hot cup of coffee in front of him. He appears to be in deep thought, just staring at the wall. She watches as he wipes a tear from his eye and takes a sip of his coffee.’
What’s the matter, dear’ she whispers as she steps into the room, ‘Why are you down here at this time of night
The husband looks up from his coffee, ‘It’s the 20th Anniversary of the day we met’.
She can’t believe he has remembered and starts to tear up.
The husband continues, ‘Do you remember 20 years ago when we started dating, I was 18 and you were only 16,’ he says solemnly.
Once again, the wife is touched to tears. ‘Yes, I do’ she replies.
    The husband pauses
The words were not coming easily.
‘Do you remember when your father caught us in the back seat of my car’
‘Yes, I remember’ said the wife, lowering herself into the chair beside him.
    The husband continued.
‘Do you remember when he shoved the shotgun in my face and said, “Either you marry my daughter or I will send you to prison for 20 years”
I remember that, too’ she replied softly.
He wiped another tear from his cheek and said “I would have gotten out today.”

    https://t.me/thewhiterosenz/197708/240727

Shaw and co. don’t want to follow the changes in the science because it overturns their fairy story.

It has been proven the figures used by the climate scientists on the effects of methane are wrong (and have been for 30 yrs). The proof has been written up in a peer reviewed paper and it has been accepted in the last IPCC report. We do not really have to worry about methane, so the $29 million is a waste of money.

Was anyone in USA held to account for the fiasco that was Vietnam.
Over two million Vietnamese killed to delay communism for 12 years.
        When Ellsberg published the pentagon papers he was charged with conspiracy, espionage, and theft of government property;

Bush Bliar and Powell were never held to account for mass destruction in Iraq over 20 years – US savages in the cradle of civilisation – when it was them who claimed weapons of mass destruction.

it does not happen unless you have a French revolution style with guillotining – but they were under control again not long after with Napoleon and dragged into greater wars than they had with the cake eaters.

  14. Reserve Bank of NZ
    @ReserveBankofNZ

We have been working with New Zealand’s largest banks to assess how climate-related risks could impact their agricultural loans, as part of our ongoing stress testing programme. This work is helping the financial sector to build capability to measure risks posed by climate change and find solutions to the significant data and modelling challenges.

    • But can the Reserve Bank staff tell the difference between weather and climate change?

If you can’t tell the difference, it would be better not to cripple the farmers for the sake of virtue signaling to the rest of the world (who doesn’t care anyway).

    • Stress out the price of electricity going into wind power, solar production.
With outages looking to be on the cards this winter.

Stress out the price of oil, like increasing prices.
Limited stocks of fuel, and problems in delivery as the aviation industry experienced in the recent past.

The stress out of doing farm nutrient budgets, though wise, & for the moment fertilizer has come back in price, the supply links of the transport chain has eased, that is for the moment. But ongoing & increasing costly requirements like by Regional Councils.

The stress out of having expensive designated coordinators to work out the Farm Fresh Water Plans, & then to call for compliance on even unworkable costly issues plus pay ongoing penalties, fees, etc. for the special auditors to be in line with iwi hapu demands.

Stress out on Farm Emission Plans that are now in play,

All to play the part from “code of practice” “comply with best practice” to mandating, to being compulsory.
All to be bought in through financial institutions, insurance, that will lever on other corporations like freezing works, dairy factories, so no product can be sold unless it has the very costly chain of compliance, all the way through.

Climate related risks? all based on costly “abundance of precautions” for mitigation etc., but not on common-sense or costs to benefit considerations.

Aotearoa, the place that many seem to want. 🙁

  15. Taxpayers’ Union Welcomes Chief Ombudsman’s Report on Council Workshops

Oliver Bryan, Investigations Coordinator at the Taxpayers’ Union, said, “The findings of this report are a watershed moment. Councils have, for far too long, operated what can appear as ‘shadowy’ meetings, circumventing the very tenets of transparency. The public has a right to know how their hard-earned money is used and how pivotal decisions are shaped.”

To prove one is eligible to stay, then they will have to declare much of their income every year, & not so easily pocket the money.,
Hullo Mr Taxman. 🙂 Seems like a very fruitful & regular check up every year. 🙂
Then the increasing income level again to increase.

Can they do it with strong cold impartiality?

    • Be interesting if they actually do this .
Remember Scandi goo-mints tend to be very, very, very left leaning (like communist green top milk) and our left leaning mob was big on announcement s of announcements.
no action resembling the announcement ever followed.

would be interesting if this happens,
Remember, in scandi counties the tax on this income gives you a nose bleed.

“During Sunday, a low pressure system combines with the remnants of Cyclone Lola to form a large complex low over the north Tasman Sea,” MetService said in its forecast today.

“While for Gisborne/Tairawhiti south of Tolaga Bay, Hawke’s Bay north of Napier, Bay of Plenty and Waikato south of Hamilton, there is low confidence for warning amounts of heavy rain; and for Bay of Plenty and Waikato south of Hamilton, there is also low confidence for severe gale northeast winds.”

Southland, Clutha, Dunedin, Central Otago and Queenstown Lakes and Fiordland are all under heavy snow watches from this evening until tomorrow morning.

  17. As for gang activity online, Mitchell said he had a meeting with “the CEO of Meta” on Wednesday to discuss enforcement. It was not clear if he meant Mark Zuckerberg or a local executive (Meta owns Facebook, Instagram and messaging services).

“There’s going to be a very clear signal sent in this country now that we are not going to tolerate gang patches, gang insignia and what they’re used for and what they signify – and that is quite simply the intimidation of members of the public.”

Asked what if the insignia was literally tattooed on, Mitchell said further legislation would be passed banning that.

“The Australians passed a law whereby now gang members have to wake up in the morning and they have to apply foundation to cover offensive tattoos that they have put on their faces to again, try to intimidate members of the public.

“So if the gangs think that they’re going to get around a ban on gang patches by having swastikas and offensive tattoos on their faces, then we’ll take action to curb that.”

South Island paedophile allowed to serve sentence at house with two children

A diagnosed paedophile who exposed himself to a 6-year-old will serve his sentence in a home with two young girls.

Despite Community Corrections opposing the address, Judge Duncan Harvey sentenced the man to two years’ intensive supervision to be served at the children’s home.

The 23-year-old appeared in the Queenstown District Court last week after pleading guilty to doing an indecent act.

      —————-
or The Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care started in 2018

..The Commission released its first interim report on 16 December 2020. The report estimated that about a quarter of a million people were abused in state-based and faith-based care, though this figure may be conservative and it will be impossible to determine the precise number of people abused, because of data gaps and deficiencies.

…It reported that most of the abused came from Maori and Pacific families, disabled people, and women and girls
      …..well there’s a fucking surprise!!!!!

      and
The Commission intends to release a final report with recommendations to the government. This is due to be produced by 3 January 2023.[63]
In mid April 2023, the minister responsible for the Royal Commission, Barbara Edmonds, announced that the Government had delayed the release of the report by nine months until 28 March 2024,

  19. Nanny State is proven wrong again.
As we all knew, Ardern only set out to have murder, injury & endanger the good citizen of New Zealand, in the name of “Being Kind”.
    .
…. gun control activists and anti-gun politicians decried the move and declared it would make the state a more dangerous place ….
    .
….Not only did violent crime and homicide rates both decline last year, the drop in violent crime in Ohio far outpaced the national average.
The doom-and-gloom predictions of the anti-gunners were flat-out wrong, and Ohio is a safer state today than it was when Gov. Mike DeWine signed SB 215 into law. …..
    .
….. The vast majority of individuals who are responsible for the state’s homicides, armed robberies, aggravated assaults, carjackings, home invasions, and other violent offenses were already carrying without a permit long before Ohio’s permitless carry law took effect.
They don’t care about a misdemeanor gun law prohibiting them from carrying without a license any more than they’re concerned with committing a violent felony. …..
    .
………. “more guns, more crime” myth has been dealt another blow. ….

    https://bearingarms.com/camedwards/2023/10/24/guess-what-happened-to-violent-crime-rates-after-ohio-adopted-permitless-carry-n76474
    .
Even with a change in government; Does one really expect to be safer from ram raiders, home invasions, in particular how Te Pati Maori & Greens, & some Labour members talk things up.
    .
Those Pest numbers are just escalating all over the country in so many ways, making roads hazardous.

  21. Is Kea still awake?
Immigration driven population growth in Auckland means demand for housing is starting to exceed supply
    26th Oct 23, 10:40am by Greg Ninness
Auckland could be on the verge of another housing crisis as the recent surge of immigration-driven population growth outstrips the supply of new homes being built in the region.

The latest figures from Statistics NZ show Auckland’s population grew 47,000 in the 12 months to June this year, mainly driven by high levels of international immigration.

Auckland has an estimated average household occupancy of three people per dwelling, so an extra 47,000 people would, on average, require an additional 15,667 homes to house them all.
