In a New Zealand context, three words; ‘West Coast’ and ‘Snails’.

Nothing has changed, with the irony being that those who advocate the loudest for ‘Things green’ tend to be very affluent and to use all the attributes of a modern society; They would never DREAM of going without their ‘Toys’, but have absolutely no problems with imposing THEIR ideologies on the rest of us..

One rule for thee, but NEVER for me.

Communism takes many forms….

Komata ,DOC bought a special fridge at great expense from a German company so they could keep those carnivorous giant snails in comfort until they could be relocated to a similar environment , they then froze a couple of hundred of them to death because the morons couldn’t understand the simple instructions that came with the fridge ,, 🐌🐌🥶🥶 fcuking morons.

Sooty ,it was very suspicious at the time because the DOC worker who volunteered to bury the frozen giant snails name was Luigi Saufron , apparently he was a well known Parisian 5 star sauce chef on a working holiday in NZ and much merriment and French conversations using “ Magnifique “were heard coming from his house that very same night ,,LMFAO .

The greatest impediment to development projects in NZ is the first settlers.

…. The land required for a 50/50 mix of wind and solar to replace energy generated by coal, gas, and oil to meet the forecast demand is estimated at 119 million hectares, equivalent to 15 per cent of Australia’s landmass and approximately one-third of all Australia’s agricultural land. ….
https://ipa.org.au/publications-ipa/media-releases/ipa-research-one-third-of-prime-agricultural-land-sacrificed-for-net-zero-pipe-dream

All under the auspices that new roads, transmission lines, and the farmers will be well paid for that.
…. Yeah right ….
Until they are deemed to be a big part of the cost of that “energy” so that they then become scape goats; to be hit with regulatory controls, like rental controls, capital gains etc., are bought to bear on them, to help bring equity via redistribution to others.

When South Australia had a blackout in 2027 due to a power station shutdown, the then biggest battery in the world was drained in less than 5 minutes.?????? Fact checker required.

Not fact checking, just proof reading required. They made a typo and it probably should have been 2017.

Well I very much doubt it would have been 2007.
A proof reader would have to check the fact that it probably should have been 2017.

Climate Change problems looking to take out solar panels.
This Australian article figures it can over come some of the solar panel problems.
Gives a little insight of how some of these problems have been glossed over.
But it will be at a price..

https://theconversation.com/as-the-world-heats-up-solar-panels-will-degrade-faster-especially-in-hot-humid-areas-what-can-we-do-221990

No mention of cyclonic hurricane strength winds.
No mention of hail storms.

No mention of dust & or pollen settling on the panel reducing power out-put.
No mention on how they are to be cleaned, with what chemicals & how will those panels handle that?

No mention of lichens or moss, algae finding ways to spread on the panels.
How are they to be cleaned off? poisons?

Any way this solar farm seems to have had its day in the sun & weather.

Part of the hyper-saturation of the ideological market means converting the masses through ‘good news’ stories.
There are fewer of those these days, with the rapid expansion of the not in my backyard! movement keeping pace with government roll-outs.

Paywalled : but I appreciate the photo. 🙂

Depreciation seems to have come climatically a bit early.

In the end all Green impulses can be reduced to the urge to steal a dress.
